  1. That is awesome. And the kid's name is Camden. How can he not turn out to be an O's fan? The thing with the desk on the infield is really weird though.
  2. How much longer can he pitch in AAA on rehab without having to be called up? That is seriously depressing.
  3. I thought I heard Gang Starr on the broadcast when Cowser came up recently and had to look it up. In case you are curious... https://www.thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/orioles-mlb/baltimore-orioles-walk-up-music-LWVKV64QIFAT3AZJJOWYLDOW7Y/
  4. They would honestly be fine with Urias if need be. The only question is whether MLB experience now benefits Holliday long term.
  5. Don't blink, you might miss the Cal highlight.
  6. Great find. Comes across as an easy guy to root for. Hope we find a way to keep him around and he continues to perform.
  7. Consider that one of the reasons O'Hearn is "hot" is because Hyde has wisely kept him on a strict plaatoon
  8. Then you have no one to PH for Holliday vs a LHP in extras.
  9. Probably not, but why would we put him on waivers? We have a need for now and he pitched great.
  10. Last year the "high OBP guys" were: Rutschman .374 Mountcastle .328 (never would have guessed that!) Urias .328 Hays .325 Santander .325 Gunnar .325 Which of these is the high OBP guy you would bat leadoff so as not to waste Gunnar's power? Based on this year (small sample) you could put Westburg or Cowser leadoff, but those guys are hitting homers too. I guess this is a problem you have when you have power one through nine up and down the lineup.
  11. Imagine if he outperforms his 30/30 year. Great to see him healthy and hitting with confidence.
  12. You gotta pinch hit for O'Hearn there. Could have been Urias but then we would have needed to burn Hays as well for defense. If it goes to extras we might need Urias to hit for Holliday.
  13. The lack of options is interesting. That would suggest they are thinking of this as more than an emergency start. Four shutout innings so far vs a guy we talked about trading for as a TOR guy.
  14. Suarez listed as the starter. I guess they wanted a RHP today. Will be interesting to see how this goes. Over/under on innings he can get through?
  15. If there is such a thing as a "leverage index" I think you would find that Akin is below any of the big three. Maybe about even with Webb depending on whether the matchups are RHB or LHB. Tate is the only other guy with options but isn't the type of guy to take one for the team in an extended innings situation. If that happened, you option the guy who is going to be out 3-4 games anyway. Baumann, Webb, and Yohan are all out of options.
