  1. Definitely. Only question is whether we run out of outs. Grayson put us in a pretty big hole.
  2. Mountcastle is hitting well too. I'd rather have Mountcastle vs RHP than O'Hearn vs LHP.
  3. He and Gunnar had a laugh after but the fooled/recovery and decoy scenarios could both be funny.
  4. Looked like Holliday might have decoyed the runner there. Either he was about to miss it, or he intentionally looked like he was about to miss it... Then reached back at the last second for the catch and out.
  5. At least he got through a decent number of innings. He couldn't be worse than Johan Ramirez. If they don't let him extend his rehab I'd stash him in the bullpen for now.
  6. I agree with the top two Bradish if healthy is #3 for sure but we don't know how he is going to hold up. I think a good case could be made for Suarez-Povich but they are higher risk than Kremer-Irvin who are at least solid
  7. True. So any combination of guys will score runs with the same net run differential. I guess part of the game would be to construct a roster where you have players with a bunch of different skillsets, and then maximize each player's advantage depending on the situation. That is also definitely something the Orioles have done very well under Elias/Hyde.
  8. Ah, but what if you have a hitting catcher who needs to DH 5-10 games per month?
  9. From a game theory standpoint, you can never win if you don't score, so I'd go with either the +10 off/-10 def or average guy. I would not want a team full of pure defense guys that bring no offense to the table. Seems like the O's definitely like guys who can hit but they also value at least some defensive ability and versatility.
  10. Whether he was rushed or merely expedited or accelerated, he made his debut at a very young age with very little minor league experience, and the results thus far have been terrible.
  11. Before "hoarding prospects," there was "tanking is bad for baseball." These guys never learn. Would love for them to eat their words, just once.
