1. I basically restated what the MLB Trade Rumors tweet said. So take your issue up with them, not me.
2. Seems like this is investing in a small sole proprietorship where if the owner injuries them-self in any manner in the office, you're bound to lose a lot of your investment
3. It is his brand that constitutes earnings. So if Schoop does an autograph signing when he is 70 years old and gets paid for it, he has to give 10% of it to Fantex. Same if he goes into broadcasting or something like that. Fantex doesn't owe any obligation to give out dividends either but it seems they did for Vernon Davis
4. Not sure where I found it but I think I remember it said that the MLBPA and CBA are the ones that approve the lump-sum payment Also, it looks like fantex sets the share price. Can't imagine these to have high liquidity either
5. Latos has allowed 2 ER in 24.1 IP this season, let's hope he reverts to last season
6. At first, I thought he signed an extension but seems he got a lump sum of $4.91M for 10% of future earnings. I never heard of this thing before, pretty interesting idea. Article reads that he is less likely to sign an extension now since he locked in some early cash

Franco, Schoop, McHugh, Duffey, Solarte trade future earnings for up-front pay. 7. I saw someone refer Rickard as Joey Jets and kind of liked the sound of it. I like it better than Joey Bats or Joey baseball
