  1. Hi all, Birdland Member here. 4 tickets in Upper Reserve. Plans feel through at last minute. Looking to get these to another O's fan. Let me know. Thanks.
  2. I have 4 available tomorrow upper reserve behind the plate. Happy to let go at what I paid. Season plan member. Plans fell thru and want to help out fellow O's fan. Let me know
  3. I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m not getting any discount on my tickets because the team is losing 100+ games. They are already scaling back payroll. We are getting a worse product for the same money, and now they take away a benefit many enjoyed. It seems to me to be pretty disingenuous to cut back on things just because they are “rebuilding” but they aren’t giving anybody a break on the prices we pay.
  4. I completely agree with all of you! I was just saying the gist of what I heard about why they are moving on from FanFest and what my season plan rep (who is very transparent) told me.
  5. FanFest does not make money, and very few season ticket holders will not renew solely because FanFest is cancelled.
  6. I’m not saying they don’t make a lot of money. But they want to increase it. They don’t want to have events that don’t increase the bottom line. The whole point of the concerts is to make more money, regardless of attendance. Plenty of fans would rather see OPACY stay baseball only.
  7. I completely agree. Difference is that ownership/management forced DD to do appearances at FanFest and State of the Orioles. While Elias is definitely more personable it seems like he has more say over anything than any GM had in the past. He has fired long time people and if he doesn’t want to do talks with season plan holders, it seems like ownership won’t force him to do so. Last year they had to go ahead with FanFest because it was planned before he was hired. But they did scrap the mid season State of the Orioles and player autograph session.
  8. I completely agree. Hate to say it but it seems like it’s definitely gone this year. The Orioles are looking at ways to increase revenue and I’ve heard FanFest did not generate much with so many people getting complimentary tickets as season plan members. The business side is cutting out things that don’t make money, even if they are tradition. I got that kind of response last year when I expressed frustration that the York team store was closed without any warning.
  9. I completely agree. I passed along the frustration of fans who look forward to this event each year. I got the standard, “we are looking for new ways to engage fans” reply. To me it comes across as a bad look that the club is cutting back access to the top baseball decision makers at a time when on-field performance is at an all time low. Last year the mid-season State of the Orioles address was scrapped, and now the FanFest one will be gone too. I hope, in the end, we come out of this rebuild with sustained success. But if we don’t, the baseball operations staff has fired some very loyal personnel and now the business side is really changing how season plan members get to hear from these people.
  10. I contacted my Season Plan Account Rep. He confirmed that there will not be a FanFest event this year. But he admitted he was somewhat shocked to learn this, as last he had heard the event was being planned. Sounds like the new business team is shaking things up.
