  1. You might not believe it, but this is what peak physical conditioning looks like if you want win the Rookie of Year award.
  2. I thought going into the season Grayson Rodriguez had a good shot to be the Orioles best starter even with Burnes and Bradish on the team. If Bradish can return back to form the Orioles starting rotation might feature three ace-like pitchers. I've never seen that in my lifetime watching Orioles baseball.
  3. There's an Orioles category today. I got a 9/9 10 score.
  4. Westburg exceeded rookie eligibility limits last year exceeding 130 at bats and more than 45 days on the active roster. On the plus side he might qualify as a super sophomore or at the very least avoid the sophomore slump.
  5. There's a difference between being patient at the plate as opposed to comatose.
  6. I don’t think Hays will cause locker room issues, but this was precisely the reason why I wanted to see Hays shopped this past offseason. I get it that Cowser/Kjerstad/Stowers aren’t proven, but you have to think one of them would break through this year. Now it’s entirely possible Elias tried to trade Hays and didn’t like any of the offers received. Hays ceiling as a hitter is only going to be so high with his free swinging approach.
  7. I could see Suarez sticking in a bullpen role long term with the movement on his fastball. Also he might be able to throw a 2 to 3 more MPH harder not having to worry about trying to pitch six innings. The Orioles have done a good job finding pitchers who weren't expected to do much in recent years and it would be cool if Suarez is another find.
  8. I hope Means gets into form eventually he deserves to be a part of this success after carrying the starting rotation on some absolutely horrid Orioles teams.
  9. @Three Run Homer - Found more specific information listing it as elbow inflammation.
  10. According to this it's elbow related. https://www.rotoballer.com/fantasy-baseball-injury-updates-for-mlb-pitchers-april-12-2024/1349746#John_Means_Injury_Update
  11. Not good. It's probably too early, but Elias should be looking to acquire a starting pitcher when trade season starts to heat up. Bradish is looking fine, but I'd rather see Irvin in the bullpen. Same for Wells assuming his current injury doesn't linger too long.
  12. I agree and figured Lopez would get one more inning he was dominating the Orioles hitters and pitching on cruise control.
