  1. I dunno, I personally can’t recall a game where he threw/almost threw to the backstop 5-6 times.
  2. Not a great sign that he looked pretty rattled by the moment. Wildest he has looked…ever? Not just the balls either - location.
  3. Beavers the last 4 weeks: .303/.396/.592 7 2B 5 HR 13:17 BB:K He was cold in May for sure, but pretty good otherwise.
  4. Here we all were thinking Gunnar might earn us a pick with a ROY run. And Yennier might be running away with the ROY instead. (But wasn't a Top 100 prospect = no pick.)
  5. LOL. Negative WAR every season he’s played. I guess they wanted to answer the challenge of finding someone actually worse than Chris Davis.
  6. Lots of good points on why this is not a terrible move. I’d be OK if he lived up to his 3-year average. But sadly he’s 35, and career aging trends are not on his side. He also finished the season in horrendous form - about a 10 ERA, with an OPS against over 1.000 in Sep/Oct. Hopefully they didn’t pay him much.
  7. Interesting that he was starting to crush it in 2019 at A+ and AA with the Twins. Then he was traded to Miami - to your point, who seem to have not helped him. Then he had the pandemic year between offsite and the Bigs, and he's been stalled since. Maybe the O's can get him back on track.
  8. Gotcha, I had it wrong. Back to my black hole!
  9. I mean, if he plays the next 7 games, he'll probably break 130. He probably needs to sit 2-3 games, counting today.
  10. I don't come around much, and am sure this has been discussed somewhere... At any rate, throwing this out there: Gunnar has 104 PA's. If he stays under 130 PA's, he remains eligible for ROY next season. (He will be under 45 days of roster time either way - the other requirement.) ROY - who cares, right? Well, players with 1) less than 60 days of service time, 2) who make 2 Top Prospect lists, and 3) earn a full season of service time - trigger draft pick compensation (a pick after Round 1) if they win ROY.
  11. Just when I thought I was back in, they pushed me back out. Oh well, back to the Ravens, see you again in a few years.
  12. If you're interested, here are search results from early 2022 mock drafts. Goto Google and type: "early mlb draft mock before:2021-09-01" A smattering of results: 10. Nationals: Carter Young, SS, Vanderbilt Young, a standout on USA Baseball’s 18U National Team in 2019, had a strong freshman year during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, but struggled at the plate in his first full season with Vanderbilt. He tried to do too much, so while he did homer 16 times, he also had a 30 percent strikeout rate. 2. Baltimore Orioles: Carter Young, SS (Vanderbilt) Carter Young, SS, Vanderbilt As of right now, he’s the best shortstop in this class. Carter Young took over shortstop after Austin Martin was drafted a year ago. He can do a little bit of everything. He reminds me of a Trea Truner/Dansby Swanson type of guy. He’s taken a backseat this past season due to the star power of Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker, but now it’s his time to shine.
  13. I like Scott. He and Brooks were the tandem when I was a kid in the early 80's - and it takes me back to that time. Scott was also a great Ravens play-by-play man.
  14. Guys, pitching - 80% or so of ours presently - is easily attainable on the waiver wire.
