  1. There aren’t as many meatballs as there used to be.
  2. OBP emphasis seems to be waning among statistically driven clubs. With how good stuff has gotten for pitchers, there seems to be an emphasis taking advantage of the opportunity to hit what might be your only hittable pitch. You saw it with Gunnar last year. His approach I think for most batters will be the future except for guys like Soto
  3. Funny no one seems to feel that way about John Angelos who undeniably was letting Elias do it how he thinks it should be done.
  4. It will be Gunnar. He is the most logical. Adley is older. Jackson is too wealthy to care.
  5. Montgomery was traded during the season. There is no qualifying offer associated with him.
  6. And people seem to forget that Means didn't start the season and Bradish was hurt in the first game he pitched.
  7. I was afraid that would be a lot worse than it was. Reasonable take.
  8. Spring training makes me thinks this is going to be wrong. Spring Training stats don't always mean a lot, but the games I watched this team just looked so talented and sure of itself.
  9. The Orioles have basically hit on everyone so far. Some of these guys are going to miss. Maybe Norby is one that gets a chance afterwards.
  10. For sure and rightly so. He is really blocked. If still around, hopefully next year is the year they let all the youth come up and get rid of more of the veterans.
  11. These young guys all seem to genuinely like one another. I am not saying it will happen, but with a new owner I could see them wanting to all stay together. Holliday has money. His dad played. His dad might tell his son to prioritize the experience vs the money.
  12. THIS! Everyone is a bit greedy. Heck even for my fantasy team with an ultra draft, I will forestall using guys for a year to keep them a year longer. You are sometimes willing to potentially sacrifice the present (while hoping you are not) for a better future.
  13. Agreed. The last guy that I can think of that was this much much different than how they were touted was Brian Matusz. he was supposed to have impeccable control with an unbelievable change up. We never saw any of that.
  14. This is definitely fair. I will say the Burnes post was more worrying he won’t be elite and instead be more of a 3.70 era guy. I don’t see him failing.
