  1. He also threw a no hitter in his first game after beating traded. He was sitting on the bench at the end of the season.
  2. Orioles definitely picking up Kimbrel’s club option next year.
  3. Hard to argue the overall results. It’s a different league than even 5 years ago. Hitters do not want to get behind.
  4. They sit low in the zone and he gives up hits. And when it’s close it’s easy to run on him.
  5. 4ks for Cowser. He will get cold. Hopefully he handles it ok.
  6. Hitters just look down the whole time. I wish he would throw up in the zone occasionally. I know he is a sinker ball guy but last year he mixed it up a little.
  7. Really need to do a better job stranding runners.
  8. Gunnar with a 110, 109, and now 108 mph exit velo. The softest was the homer.
  9. Glad I have such esteemed company with me in this belief.
  10. I look forward to Statcast saying it was a 70% catch probability or some similar nonsense.
  11. Have you ever seen a guy that strikes out so little, swings so hard, but so often ends up hitting weak fly balls to the outfield? It's really odd. His Savant page seems to indicate a lot of hard contact, but I have watched every game and it seems that anything in the air to the outfield is generally softly hit. I almost wonder if he has an inordinate amount of 95-100 mph contact skewing his stats. I can't find if that is the case on Baseball Savant.
  12. It’s just odd. Cowser and Westburg are the only ones overperforming. The rest are pretty much underperforming.
