  1. At 34 I can't imagine he has any options. So any AAA talk would be exposing him to waivers. I feel like whether as a long man, bullpen, spot starter, that losing him for nothing isn't high on the teams to do list. Hopefully he can be a solid addition to the MLB roster, no matter the role they give him.
  2. Seems like a Frazier like deal that didn't cost 8 million and make anyone feel obligated to play him. If we need to fill this "hole" this is the way to do it.
  3. This was my first thought. New options for fried Oreos at the park!
  4. There seemed to be some bad feelings/ vibes with the Brewers and the arbitration process. I think he was basically done with them. He may still want to test free agency, but wouldn't be surprised if his extension went from 0% to even 5% with a fresh start. Like you say, not expecting based on a lot of stuff out there, but wonder if he considers just a little bit more.
  5. Santander would be an interesting case. His health has been better in recent years, but there has been enough to keep him off the field that I could see the longer deal being more appealing.
  6. I thought it was always a "top half" starter. It leaves 1-3 a possibilities, but I took it more as a 2-3 based on history.
  7. I was going to ask if we spent our allotment. Good to see their focus internationally continues.
  8. A relatively unknown 17 yo from the international program vs US drafted players are likely different. I'd expect the drafted players to be lower, but international I could see being a very mixed bag.
  9. Did you just copy and paste the example? Haha.
  10. For comparison, where does Gibson fall from an ERA+ perspective?
  11. "REFUND POLICY FOR UNPLAYED GAMES In the event that the series for which this ticket is issued concludes before the date on which the Game was scheduled to occur (“Unplayed Game”): (i) if this ticket is not a season ticket, a refund will automatically be posted to the payment card used for payment of the ticket; no credits will be issued and the ticket will have no cash value and (ii) if this ticket is a season ticket, the value of all Unplayed Games will be automatically credited toward the 2023 Season Plan Member of record for any Unplayed Games; tickets should not be returned and have no cash value." This is all I see on their policy page, doesn't show timing there. edit: https://www.mlb.com/orioles/tickets/postseason/ticket-terms
  12. No Bautista all year will be the biggest change. Curious how they work through that piece
  13. And could play them in the ALCS potentially which means not playing them yet. It's a real possibility.
  14. I know a few folks that went Thursday hoping to clinch, and had long tired Thursdays at work. I'd imagine having clinched, the week day game was lower since the game meant far less. Also not surprised with the weekend uptick.
