  3. I've seen him at the poker room at the Horseshoe, but I've never played at the same table with him so I can't judge how good he is in that department, and what effect it might have on his life savings.
  4. You think he gets voted a full World Series share?
  5. 0.1% of the sale cost is still $1,725,000. I doubt Demper has that kind of money lying around the house.
  6. 9/9, 25, all 9 Orioles. I believe this is only my 2nd 9/9, with all 9 Orioles, on a puzzle that did NOT have an Oriole row or column. Even if I get nothing useful accomplished at work today, I will sleep proudly tonight.
  7. So bringing up that stat in a discussion about whether Holliday could/should have gotten to the ball was utterly irrelevant in the first place.
  8. Michael Lorenzen, who didn't sign with the Rangers until less than a week before the season, made his first start tonight and threw 5 3-hit shutout innings (he did walk 5). Beat the Tigers 1-0.
  9. Add a run here so Kimbrel gets a night off.
  10. Wonder if that's a consequence of a long time shortstop playing 2B for the first time. First base must look so close, it doesn't "feel" right to wing it like you would in a lifetime of playing short.
  11. RIP to Ken Holtzman, who was briefly an Oriole in the 1970s. A lefty pitcher, much better known for his work with the A's and Cubs and Yankees. He was 76.
  12. Great job Tate! Pen has been a bit stretched as we haven't had a starter go more than 5 in quite a while. Needed more than one inning from Dillon and got it.
  13. Can't wait for a grand slam. It will be glorious.
