  1. I gotta give him credit, he handled that like an ace. I don’t think he did anything wrong in that situation.
  2. This one didn't age well. In hindsight, Hosmer wouldn't have been referrable just based on age. A lot of us missed on O'Hearn. Glad he's here, glad he's mashing, glad he's making it hard for prospects to come up. He's an important part of this team.
  3. I figured statcast would have it. Thanks for looking it up, I'd give you rep but I'm out of it for today, apparently. Glad to see we're up there with exit velo and hard hit %. Seems like almost everything hit last night was 100 mph+.
  4. That's fair, and he does do those things well. We can agree to disagree that the other stuff that we happen to disagree about gets in the way.
  5. Not worried about it as long as they're continuing to be at the top of the league in runs. I am wondering what the team rankings are for hard hits, barrels, whatever you want to look at to show that the Orioles are absolutely squaring up balls and hitting them at prodigious exit velocity rates. I would not be surprised if the Orioles are at the top of the league for that stat as a team. I know they obviously keep that for individual players but do they keep that for teams?
  6. Get it right, it's a modest two game hitting streak, Froberto Duran. And nowhere did I say I'd prefer Jim Hunter over Kevin Brown.
  7. I am leaning into it, a little bit. Here's the deal, I don't think he's as bad as people think I think he is. I've said it before, I'll say it again...as far as my favorite TV announcers go, it's Thorne, Mel Proctor, Kevin Brown, Jim Hunter Scott Garceau and Michael Reghi. Kevin Brown is right in the middle. I actually like his voice a little bit. On a pitch by pitch basis, he's good, though sometimes I don't think he knows the difference between a sinker a cut fastball, but that's whatever. I don't need the PBP guy to tell me what I'm seeing when it comes to pitch types and I don't care if they miss one from time to time. It's the constant attempts at being clever, the constant pointing out of trivial trivia ("And Adley Rutschman, the FIRST pick in the 2019 draft grounds out to the SECOND pick in the 2019 draft, Bobby Witt Jr.") that drive me crazy. The pop culture references. That sarcastic tone he takes on when he's trying to give Ben McDonald a hard time on something that Ben McDonald has never heard of before (What do YOU MEAN YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF...) ...all those things drive me up a wall.
  8. That was borderline insufferable too.
  9. 3. Cause I love Ced and I’m a homer.
  10. Not like he took a bad route to it either.
  11. Dude, c’mon. When he made the wildly astute assessment that we used three relievers in a row that had four letter last names, you can’t tell me that wasn’t worth a giant eye roll.
  12. Playing as part of some platoon. Not hitting this well.
  13. Fear not, he’ll be back to victory lap after the next bad loss.
  14. I’d like this but I’m out of rep. You’re not wrong. But this is a great place to learn, too. Coming in with scorching hot takes and not knowing how to back up an argument isn’t a great way to make friends here. IMO, it’s a place for knowledgeable fans and people who want to learn. It’s not Facebook or something.
