  1. I dunno about you, but I don't have a good feeling about either one of those guys contributing this year.
  2. Wells needs to be in the bullpen where he can hopefully show a little more velocity. I think they really need to acquire another starter.
  3. I think Irvin is a better starter than Wells.
  4. Nope...he's got the gig he always wanted.
  5. Well...I think hitters are going to make adjustments to that. Let me just say the last two Boston starters did not impress me much.
  6. I'm not sure about that last sentence. Their starters have no track record and look like they totally rely on sweepers and breaking stuff. Once hitters start leaving that stuff alone, I think they will get hammered.
  7. I honestly could not figure out how the O's weren't hitting those starters.
  8. This Duran dude is gonna be a pain in our butt.
  9. Gotta face 3 batters. Guarantee you that Cano would have been in there...
  10. My thinking is that Santander and Hays are likely gone after this season. I could also see Mountcastle being dealt if Mayo is ready. I'd keep Kjerstad as pretty much a full-time DH, let Stowers/Norby be the Lowenstein/Roenicke of the early 80's teams in RF, Cowser in LF and keep Mullins around for another year in center, hoping that Bradfield is ready for 2026. Of course, all of this hinges around everyone staying healthy and continuing to produce.
  11. Uh...yeah...7 years in the minors with a .670 OPS sure doesn't impress.
  12. When I said "better than Scott", I don't think it necessarily means a reliever. I was thinking of dealing Hays for a young arm or two that Elias/Sig may see nice peripherals in the lower minors. That would allow them to deal Hays AND promote Stowers or Norby or Kjerstad.
  13. I think we may be a little hasty on Hays. If we are going to trade him, I'd rather it be for someone better than Scott.
  14. Caught the tail end of the Marlins/Yanks game last night on MLB after the O's game...I'm a "no" on Mr. Scott. He was very wild and did not look comfortable even though he picked up the save vs. the Yankees.
