  1. Was he throwing 96 with movement in his previous big league stint? Sometimes these guys find velocity later in their career and become completely different pitchers, a la Charlie Morton
  2. Is he really averaging 92? I heard he was topping out at 92.
  3. Yea. I think Creed was so hot the first two months in Delmarva that they wanted to promote him quickly after his first taste of sustained success since he was repeating the level. I'd like to see him get AT LEAST half a season in Aberdeen regardless of his performance. I wouldn't object to him playing the whole season in Aberdeen either.
  4. In times likes these, it's tough to imagine how any of the prospects stuck in Norfolk will manage to break into this roster. Players will slump and injuries to key offensive players are likely to occur at some point in the season, but this really feel like it could be a juggernaut offense form top to bottom.
  5. Yes, he said those things as well. He also said he thought he was pressing and that he’d like to see him get his first hit out of the way so he can “take a deep breath” and relax.
  6. I’m not sure how one pitcher having a bad start and it getting out of hand after our mop up guy gets put in equates to being exposed for not having enough pitching. Three of our five SP have pitched to a sub-3 ERA so far and our bullpen has been excellent. Regardless of the reality that we have pitched pretty well, why don’t we wait until we are more than a month into the season before we start making these kind of proclamations.
  7. Matt Holliday said while being interviewed during the game that he thought Jackson was pressing. But I agree, the main reason for his struggles right now is that MLB is hard and there will be an adjustment period.
  8. You were proven wrong yesterday, so don’t sweat it.
  9. I don't care for the application because there are very few (if any) original shows from Apple that I am currently watching. The picture is far superior to MASN though. MASN is such a second rate network, it's nice to watch a game once in awhile with modern level production value.
  10. I have no problem with him being in Aberdeen all season, but would like to see him hit well enough there to have earned a promotion.
  11. Considering the low offensive bar for catchers, he has a long time to develop the offensive part of his game. There is still plenty of upside there IMO. He could follow a similar path as Jonah Heim. If he was a college player, he would be getting drafted just this season. So making it all to Double-A as a 20/21 year-old would be no small feat.
  12. His MO so far has been to mash a level after struggling there the previous year. I would like to see him continue that trend but be able to adjust more quickly once he his promoted to Bowie. If he's able to do that, he could be find himself back in the top 10 which I believe is where he was slotted mid-last season.
  13. You don't envision a possible scenario where Hays, Mullins, and Santander are getting an equal amount of rest? I would think you could play Cowser or Hays in center twice a week with Mullins sitting. If Santander sits once a week and DH's 1-2 times a week, you can still have a split where every outfielder plays 4-6 times a week. This would make the most sense to me unless the FO is just completely down on Hays. Looking at a larger sample size over the last few seasons, Hays, Mullins, and Santander have been relatively equal players. Hays is not the only outfielder capable of going through extended cold spells. Mullins tends to fall into the same kind of slumps.

5 for 5er today with a double and a SB. Could find himself in Bowie quickly.
  15. It's definitely a concern and will ultimately keep his BA down. Hopefully the OBP and power can make up for it. He could be a guy that strikes out in 30 percent of his plate appearances.
