  2. I'll be there on Tuesday with some work friends. Not sure of the seats, yet. Can't wait!
  3. I would have thought about 3/45. No to the 4th year. My guess is he averages <2 WAR per season over the life of the contract.
  4. Moderate overpay for what is probably a negligible upgrade. But, I think Ed Rod is probably somewhere between a lefty reliever and a #4 starter, so it's not something that will come back to haunt you. And the target is right - misses bats, keeps the ball in the park. I guess I'll say I'm fine with it, though I would have liked to see what Rodriguez could have brought back as part of a package. This doesn't really move the needle in terms of playoff odds, but it will be nice to have another shutdown arm in a short series.
  5. So, is the Horsebox actually a good place to catch an Orioles game? My friend and I are thinking about going out for opening day.
  6. I'd love to do that too. I heard the stadium is beautiful.
  7. Yeah, I mentioned that in my post! Rode my bike from Bushwick and caught an IronBirds/Cyclones game toward the end of last season. It was great. I moved up in August. I'm in the grad program for journalism at Hofstra, but I commute in from Brooklyn. Loving New York so far.
  8. This will be my first full season in New York. It'd be cool to meet some of you guys at an Orioles game in the Bronx or an IronBirds game on Coney Island.

  12. Late to the thread. But I like this pick. A really solid all-around bat limited by his athleticism. If his development goes really well you could end up with a .280/.350/.450 hitter. I just wish Walker was a little more athletic so you could hide him at the hot corner or at least stick him in LF. As it is, he probably ends up a tweener - another name on the long list of average or better ML hitters who won't ever have a ML career. Which is why he was available in the fourth round. Not a bad pick, though. Put some wood in his hands and see if he can manifest some pop.
