  1. These Angels relievers are some of the relievers who will be available later for not the top tier of Orioles prospects.
  2. Pat Connaughton's Bucks unable to hang on to first round home court advantage in the very early days of the NBA playoffs. Milwaukee is hoping to hang in there long enough for Giannis to make it back. Austin Hays' calf probably has a ceiling of 2nd place in sport power rankings.
  3. Strong contender there for Max Height on an infield throw resulting in an out.
  4. I knew some of the Japanese Clubs include corporations in their team names, and a few Google clicks looks like it clarifies the Yakult Swallows are perhaps named in honor of the probiotic drink KB was going on about last inning.
  5. Now is when we need that Sal Perez moment off Corbin Burnes down a bunch.
  6. Earlier tonight they were talking about JP France grinding out some innings after letting in a bunch of runs, and the line on MLB Network was... He's relieving himself out there tonight.
  7. Just caught up in DVR and yeesh. Trout top of 1st I wasn't sure to be bemused or aggravated up in the count Grayson's gameplan seemed to be, "let me challenge you center cut".
  8. Frustrating moment for Gausman (and his roto owners), he's closing in on 5 shutout innings but 1B Vlad seems to more or less just plain miss the throw from the 3B on a routine groundout two outs, man on 2nd to let run #1 in. Maikel Garcia bloop, Bobby Witt doubles, and he's losing 3-2.
  9. Pull%, his 64 is 4th of 374 MLB Bats at his 20 PA threshold. Last year in the Minors, he was 38%, one of the lower numbers in the organization. He spent the winter adding mass so he could look more like a full grown man. Its probably fine to ping a single over the shortstop's head like Nori Aoki or Steven Kwan.

    LOLMets

DJ Stewart is on a heater. It is a well-earned LOL Mets label over the long haul, but I do think we can know with basic Sigbot certainty David Stearns is going to get the Luhnow-Elias things done. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/39914232/2024-new-york-mets-plan-president-david-stearns Fingers crossed he prioritizes Juan Soto this winter. An AL East challenge would be if NYM lean Burnes, and it helps Yanks retain Soto. "We made a run at a top-tier free agent this offseason," Stearns said. "We did not get him, and that's going to happen sometimes. But we will pick our spots, and there will be times when we're going to bring in premium free agents. There are going to be times when we're focusing on other areas of the player-acquisition market. We still feel like we can field a very competitive team while doing so."
  11. Before Sig came on Brian Kenny's show this afternoon, they had a graphic BAL is already leading MLB in xwOBA. That's despite including the Chris Davis mode inputs from most of the 2B so far this season. Sigbot is a machine without apology, so no offense to Gunnar, Mayo, Basallo but it maybe regards its Adley, Kjerstad, Cowser, Holliday unit about to be unveiled as its Mount Rushmore, at least to the extent bonus dollars indicate assessed value. It would be a nice grace from the baseball gods if Game 1 of the assembly is also one Holliday peppers the gaps once or twice.
  12. Sig was a guest later on the show, and shared during the Royals series he and Bill James met up to watch one of the games. That would be a pretty great spot to be one row in front!
  13. I think Kjerstad has a fair shot to go 5-for-5 rest of the week while regulars get rest for transcontinental flights and the Yankees series, but with health it'll probably be RF Santander, 1B Mountcastle, DH O'Hearn Monday against Clarke Schmidt.
  14. Nice HR McCann breaking the ice against Detmers. From the elite draftee angle, tonight's presumed Adley, Kjerstad, Cowser and Holliday lineup is a bit of a milestone for the organization. Griffin Canning gets to be the first RH SP to work through it...Yankees look like they will have Clarke Schmidt and Luis Gil next week.
