Like Scrat said I think the overall quality of the league as a whole has improved when you have a team in the relegation zone beating the mancs, liverpool, and the chelsea all in the same season. Or the quality of the top teams in significantly decreased. Could be both.

What a weekend of games. Just about every fixture was a great game and goals galore- with the best being Ti-ti-ti-ti-tiote. What a hit.
Great game from, even from neutral perspective. At the pub they shut off all the other games going and put Newcastle- Arsenal on with full sound. Place went nuts when Tiote scored.

Crazy to think that relegation was a very real threat not too long ago.

If the brilliant minds down in Liverpool want to write another 35million check, I'm sure you can have him.

I really wouldn't call anyone brilliant seeing who your owner is. Can see Arsenal trying to get him in the summer.

Anyone know of a local establishment I can watch the Man U Man City game on Saturday? It's apparently not on ESPN2.

I would definitely recommend Slainte in Fells. Great atmosphere and really accommodating. This is where our NUFC Supporters Group meets up for all matches. There should be a good crowd for this weekend as there is a pretty big Manchester United and Manchester City Supporters Groups in Baltimore too.

And you're positive they will be open at 745 AM? Will they be serving beer (hey it's also my bday so I'll drink at 8 AM if I want to!)

I am 100% sure. Its what they do- nothing like a cold one and a cup of coffee before 9:00AM. They also have breakfast. I should be there around halftime or so.

Just wanted to say that Slainte is awesome--get an Irish breakfast while you're there too. I haven't been for a couple of years, but the atmosphere is great and most people there are very friendly. I don't know if he's still there, but the bartender who was there the times I used to go is a Liverpool supporter. Great guy.

There's a very good chance I'm moving to Baltimore (in VA now) in Spring/Summer. Any Fulham fans hang around Slainte? If I move to Bmore, it'll be because I'm attending JHU. How far is Fells Point from JHU?

Hopkins is just north of downtown Baltimore--it's about a 15-20 min drive from Fells Point. Dunno about Fulham fans though. Are thinking about JHU for undergrad or postgrad?

We should have an OH footy fan night at Slainte sometime.
