I seems like Disney kids have such a difficult time with the professional transition to adulthood doesn't it? See Duff, Hilary (shudder) Need I mention Lindsay Lohan? How about Britney Spears?. Nevermind, too easy. My money's on Aly & AJ (78 Violet) succeeding but it'll be a close thing if history's any indication.

The degree to which the studios controlled the entertainment press out here in the 50's and 60's was virtually absolute. There are a couple of good books on the subject and I'll be happy to PM you with a few titles if you're interested. Today the game is still played with a high degree of success in the mainstream channels, although their dominance is eroding quickly given the alternative information sources.
But to heck with that. Here's a little Annette to remind us that we were once young and blessed with red blood, American citizenship and a full compliment of male hormones.
