I am close, but I think it was either Gwen or Jamie now. Gwen - Jealousy, Jamie - Liability.

My guess is Gwen. I'm kinda mad at myself for not thinking about that particular angle sooner.

That was a great episode. I'm thinking it's Gwen who hired someone to do it.

All that makes sense as far as Gwen or Jaime being the twist but I mean this dude did a dry run with another girl. I'm really hoping it was Richmond and the last episode is just dedicated to putting him away but that doesn't really jive with having a 2nd season.

I don't think it's Richmond because I figure they would reveal the killer in the season finale.

As for the 2nd season, I was always under the impression that each season would be it's own case with each episode representing a day (or two) in the investigation.

That's how the original Dutch version is set up, which is what this series is based on.

Boo Hiss. Was really hoping they wouldn't go down the set up/ conspiracy route with this series and drag this case on into multiple seasons. Very disappointed.

I concur, it was a very dull episode. Should have made it one season with a crazy ending.

Yeah I don't mind that the case will go into season 2. I'm just a little irritated because all of the stuff I read leading up to the start of the show led me to believe that it was a "one case per season/one day of investigation per episode" type of show.

Oh well, who do we think Holder was helping out and talking to in the car? Richmond's aid (the little guy that helps him spin and mud sling), someone with the mayor's camp, the rich guy Drexler, etc?

I don't mind that it's dragging into the next season. I also doubt that it was Richmond who did it. I hope they don't take too long of a delay in starting the next season.

Had it gotten out anywhere that the killer may not be revealed yet and that it would continue to a second season? Usually I hear or read about those type of things about shows but this one caught me totally offguard when the killer wasn't revealed yet.

I have gone to the AMC website and was surprised by the number of people throwing out theories with Mitch as the killer. Does that make sense to anyone here or is that a totally off-the-wall, flawed concept that would make you angry for investing two years in this show?

I think Simmons hit on his main point which was the ending it's deception. I've def been turned off with the direction they decided to go. I will end up watching Season 2 but it will feel like more of a chore just to get the ultimate payoff which is never how you want to feel watching a series.

BTW...completely agree about LOST. One of my fav shows of all time but the last season was trash. And I wasn't one of those people that wanted all the mysteries answered. It was rushed, and all over the place. They completely ruined the MIB/Jacob thing they built up at the end of Season 5.
