    I'm not really a big fan of using a green drive for my system drive. Other than that, if the system works for you, go for it.

    What's a green drive?

    And I have a 1TB drive I'll switch from my old computer. I could use that.

    Reduced power consumption. They're also a little cooler and quieter but I guess they're slower.

    Yeah, the speed is the issue. Too slow to run as a startup/system drive. I'm fine with using them for document storage.
