    Sad

Well, as long as we get plenty of nudity from her I'll be happy.

Just finished ADD...lots of stuff but also a lot of unecessary stuff, IMO, that failed to advance the story. Anyway, when is the next book due to come out?

FWIW...Jon is alive and this will give him the chance to leave the Watch and eventually become the Lord of Winterfell...ending up with Val.

Stannis is alive but Mance is captured.

The Aegon storyline feels very forced and I have no clue what is going on with Dany, Ser Jorah, Selmy and Tyrion. Very disappointed in how their story arc's have gone. I hope there is some definitive simplification of storylines in the next book.

Finally, why is Arya still in this book? She hasnt brought anything to the story since Game of Thrones, IMO.

I linked to a sample chapter from The Winds of Winter a page or two ago, IIRC. No clue on when it's coming out, but I'd venture to say it'll be at least another 2 years.

Here's the wiki synopsis for the Theon chapter he released recently:

In a sample chapter released in the Winds of Winter, it was however revealed that Stannis is still alive and supports the theory that the letter written by Ramsay about the battle with Stannis was just a lie Ramsay wrote in his wrath though it takes place before the last Jon Snow chapter of A Dance with Dragons.

Stannis recieved the banker Tycho Nestoris and the two signed a contract, Stannis plans on sending the Banker back to the Wall so he does not get caught up in the fighting.

Stannis is now aware of the planned treachery of Arnolf Karstark due to the message Jon Snow gave the banker. Stannis has Arnolf, his son Arthor and three grandsons arrested and plans to execute them, though whether their death will be quick beheadings or by fire depended on their willingless to confess. Stannis is at the moment preparing his position to battle the coming vanguard of Roose Bolton's army led by Hosteen Frey. Stannis is sending Justin Massey to escort Arya Stark (actually unknown to Stannis, Jeyne Poole) back to the Wall to reunite the girl with her brother Jon Snow in gratitude for Snow warning him of Karstarks planned treachery.

Stannis also orders Massey to go with Tycho Nestoris to Braavos where Massey will use the money given to him by the Iron Bank of Braavos to hire sellsword companies till he has a force of no less then twenty thousand strong and sail back to Westeros. Stannis also gave orders that if he is slain in the coming battle, Massey is still to do as instructed, with the intention of using the army to place Shireen on the Iron Throne.

Stannis also plans to have Theon Greyjoy executed, hoping to gain favour with his northern allies by exacting justice for the murders of Bran and Rickon Stark

Theon Greyjoy: "Unchain me, and I will serve you."

Stannis Baratheon: "As you served Roose Bolton and Robb Stark?" Stannis snorted. "I think not. We have a warmer end in mind for you, turncloak. But not until we're done with you."
I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but I freakin' love Stannis.

    And one more...

Theon Greyjoy: "Lord Ramsay is the one Your Grace should fear."

Stannis Baratheon: "I defeated your uncle Victarion and his Iron Fleet off Fair Isle, the first time your father crowned himself. I held Storm's End against the power of the Reach for a year, and took Dragonstone from the Targaryens. I smashed Mance Rayder at the Wall, though he had twenty times my numbers. Tell me, turncloak, what battles has the Bastard of Bolton ever won that I should fear him?"

Honestly the character I like most is Jon Snow. I like how he has percevered through so much. I wanted to see him take it to Ramsay. So that being said, I really hope he is t dead. Though I doubt he is.

Ramsay's letter was a bluff, IMO. Manderly has betrayed the Freys and will join up with Stannis, IMO.

I don't disagree that the letter could be a bluff.. I still feel like Stannis is too arrogant and something bad is bound to happen.

Oh and BTW, I got my sister into the series. She went through the first 4 books in like 2 months. She is the 6th person I've gotten into the books dating back to like 1999 haha.

I bought one of my groomsmen the first book in the series. He's already 200-250 pages in, and he says his favorite characters are Ned and Tyrion. I don't have the heart to tell him about Ned.

I know the feeling! She flipped out when she hit the Red Wedding and blew up my phone... because I remembered my own reaction so many years ago (threw the book across the room), I could sympathize.
