Well of course there will. Those three are why most people were pissed at Feast for Crows. He put out the "more boring" book first. Everyone wanted to know what was going on with those three.
And since Arya was featured prominently in FfC, I doubt she'll even get seen in DwD, since they're supposed to be concurrent.

If Jon is King one day, does anyone else think Tyrion would be great as Hand? I think before all is said and done, the Starks and Lannisters (minus a few members) are going to be connected.

I don't think he'll ever be King. For one thing, he takes his duties seriously, and that precludes him from any titles beyond the ones given to him through the Nights Watch. He turned down the offer to be legitimized and to be given Winterfell. I honestly see Tyrion as King before Jon. Which isn't saying much. I honestly think that Dany will eventually rule as Queen by story's end.

Do you believe George Lucas, too?

I think he had no clue what to do with those storylines for whatever reason, so instead of delaying it all, wrote what he could. I seriously doubt anybody would have cared had the originally proposed Dance with Dragons had have been double or so the length of any of the others. I just also think he thought he would be able to figure out a solution to whatever screwed him up sooner, but instead, he ended up releasing a huge tease of a novel with the promise of the "meat and potatoes" novel increasingly delayed.

Yeah, especially with people like Gary Kurtz basically saying "what a load of crap," along with telling anecdotes of how the story sort of evolved on the fly. Beyond the evidence in the narrative itself that he's lying (or really just a very dimwitted storyteller), all of the people involved in the creative process calling him out on it basically means I'll never believe his own hype again. And I think both Lucas and Martin suffer from that same problem: they believe their own hype to a detrimental degree. I'm not sure Martin is quite at Lucasian levels of delusion yet, but watching him talk during the "Making Of..." makes me think he's not that far off, either.

It just occurred to me that Ned's fever dream about the Tower of Joy (including the infamous promise to Lyanna) was after being jumped by Jaime. They left it out. So if they don't give any more "hints" from Ned's end soon...well, R+L=J might be sunk. In the sense that I'm sure Martin intended it, but in a bit of annoyance at having his big revelation discovered prematurely decided to scrap it. Which would explain the long delay...he had to figure out what to do now. I have a hard time believing that all of those clues and purposefully inconsistencies weren't pointing to something.

A little over half of they way through Clash of Kings. Definitely didn't expect Renly to eat it there. That should make for some interesting fallout. Without going to spoilers can someone just tell me if at any point they explain more what happened in that scene? If I had to guess I think the red priestess was involved somehow, but that's just a guess.

It's like the novel equivalent of the horror movie where the dumb one keeps exploring the creepy shack, and you're thinking "JUST GET OUT!" There are so many clues and anomalies that you start thinking "they HAVE to notice this...they're planning on springing the trap, right? Right? Riiight? Oh...crap."
