Love the choice for Melisandre based on appearance. Not so sure on Stannis. (I was actually on my way to post this).

A little info from Comic Con http://tv.ign.com/articles/118/1183202p1.html
Apparently they are talking about making A Storm of Swords into one and a half or 2 seasons.
A Storm of Swords, is likely too big for one season, they might have it be two seasons, or even one and a half seasons. Regardless, Benioff will consider this entire venture a triumph if he can get to a part in Swords that he refers to as "RW," saying he will be able to retire a happy man.
If they make Storm into two whole seasons the Red Wedding would be a great place to stop the first half. Can you imagine the outrage/uproar after that. Can't wait!

GRRM had been discussing splitting Storm ever since he failed to convince HBO to give Clash 12 episodes rather than 10. As soon as I heard that I assumed the Red Wedding to be the break point for season 3 and season 3.5

My guess is Storm gets season 3 and 5-6 episodes of season 4. Then Feast and Dance take up the rest of 4, all of 5 and all of 6. Hopefully by then Book 6 is out.

I really worry about season 2 if it's only going to be 10 episodes. While it's no Swords there is still alot going on and I worry about what will be left out if they only get 10 episodes. They really should allow for 12 for season 2 or at worst make the finale 2 hours so you get "11" episodes.

In other news here's a link that reminds us of 8 parts that still need to be cast for season 2.

Someone said the girl who played Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films should play Ygritte. I could see that actually.

Here's a link to a high res picture of the burning of the seven. If you zoom in you can just barely make out Melissandre.

Just chiming in -- didn't want to read anything else for fear of spoilers -- but I watched the first season and picked up the second book and I'm about 3/5 through it and loving it. It was so easy to follow after watching the first season -- they got pretty much everything in there.

Anyway, gonna try to read all the books, but we'll see. They are super long and slog to get through at times, but awesome none the less.
