    111th U.S. Open

Heading to the final round of the U.S. Open on Sunday at Congressional Country Club.

Was just wondering if anyone has ever been to CCC? What should I expect, etc?

Also, I've never been to a PGA tour event, so any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Don't worry he's got all week to choke this one back too. Man this guy could really go down in the record books if he can keep it together through full weekends. Tiger will become a distant memory. This guy was close to winning all three of the other major tournaments this year and I believe had a lead in all of them. I'll be rooting for him for the good of the game that's for sure.

The pressure got to him on 18 just trying to close out 36 at -13 . I'm expecting him to fall back at some point. Might not matter if he builds a big enough lead but I think we'll still have a tournament come Sunday afternoon. Extremely talented though, the future of golf for sure.

Great achievement by Rory this week...By please, don't even begin to mention this with what Tiger did at Pebble Beach.

Tiger '00 was better but this was really damn impressive. Probably the 2nd best major tournament I've seen played. I guess you could make a case for Tigers '97 Masters win but that was before they really started "Tiger proofing" courses. Congressional played easy but it wasn't anywhere near as easy as Augusta was in '97.

BTW kid is the real deal. I would bet on 8+ Major wins

Ehhh, I greatly disagree with that.

Rory is the real deal and what he did was impressive BUT this was a US Open course with basically no penalty if you hit it in the rough, easy pin placements on Sundays and a course that was very soft(of course, that's not their fault). Many of the experts have been blasting the USGA for making the course too easy.

Usually speaking, if you are under par at a US Open, you have a great chance of winning...This year, you weren't even in the top 20.

    Easy course.

Now, of course credit to Rory for hitting fairways and greens like it was nothing but still, the end number looks more impressive than the feat itself IMO.

BTW, as you said, the good comp here is Tiger's 1997 win at the Masters. His "coming out" party so to speak.
