Nick's 15-game hitting streak
.391/.425/.536, only 4 strikeouts in 73 PA.
He's looked pretty good in that stretch, but as SG has pointed out, he isn't walking much (4 BB in those 15 games). The ISO is also a bit lower than you'd like to see, although 4 2B and 2 HR in 15 games is a decent clip of extra base hits. Hopefully he can stay hot for a while and get his numbers into the respectable range.

.
Although George Sisler holds the all-time franchise record for a hitting streak at 41 games, I do remember that Pat Kelly had the longest hitting streak in the American League of the 1977 season for the Orioles at 19 games (I only know that because they said it on WPIX television back in 1978 when I was watching a Yankees-Orioles game).

Markakis career BABIP of .324, in 2011 it sits at .285. Normally, stat heads would be quick to say he's been a bit "unlucky." His infield fly balls are WAY up this season, but otherwise same GB/LD/FB profile. In the games I've watched, I would have never suspected his LD% to be just as high as always, it really seems he is squaring the ball up much less frequently than in the past.

16-game hitting streak now. One away from his career high.

Great to see Nick regain his stroke and solid approach at the plate. As Nick goes is how the Orioles go.
