    Amazing game with so much ebb and flow. The Americans played with poise and ability but the Japanese played with patience and skill when they needed it. Two different styles achieving nearly the same result. The Americans just could not finish and that was the difference. At least the O's won...

    Let me just say this:

    I was checking in kids all day at Ripken Baseball Camp. These kids are between 9-18 years old. I was absolutely shocked at how much interest level there was in the game today. Parents, campers, and siblings all gathered around several TVs after they checked in to watch the game. I was amazed at how popular this team has gotten over the past few weeks. There's no doubting that soccer interest is on the rise. I'm not an intense fan like some of you here, but I bet that sooner rather than later, super-athletic kids may choose soccer over the American favorites like baseball, basketball, and football.
