    watchdog.sys

I keep getting a blue screen error on this file. Infrequently, less than once a week. But plenty enough to be annoying. Any wisdom?

Yep, that's exactly what I was getting at. I've seen it happen to a couple people.

No. Used to use Adaware and recently switched to Spy Hunter.

I'll check that link later on, see what's up. Thanks.

It's a video driver issue, a couple of my friends had it caused by leftovers from uninstalling Norton. That thread looked like it had a bunch of good info though.

I think I have a video driver issue too. If I'm on for a long time without rebooting, when I shut down Firefox to shut down or reboot I get a message that D3D9 window won't shut down (end now). I looked that up and it's something to do with Direct X. Says to make sure you have the latest version but I already do, DX 9.

Hmmm, got me. Maybe try to uninstall DX and reinstall the latest? Or update video card driver? I'm a tinkerer, it's hard for me to get ideas without playing with it.

Did uninstall and reload DX. Vid driver is onboard, dated Jan. 2011. Like I said, it's very infrequent, every other week or so. Thanks anyway.
