    Drive

Comes out on 9/16 in wide release. Was shown at Cannes earlier this year and got a 15-min standing ovation. Lost the Golden Palm but won best director. Oh in case you think it's the kind of lame art house movie that they show at Cannes -- it's a car chase movie in the vein of Bullitt. Also, there's a much-buzzed-about scene in an elevator where a guy gets his head kicked in.

    The trailer looks pretty great.

Can't wait to see it. Gosling is always good. Blue Valentine was one of the best films of last year.

I am reading the book now. It's a quick read at 158 pages. I almost made it half way through at lunch today. A good pulpy neo-noir.

    95% on Rotten Tomatoes

    Roger Ebert gave it 4-stars.

Seeing this over the weekend for sure.

It looks like a really fun action movie. Ryan Gosling is all over the screen right now, between his key role in Crazy, Stupid, Love, Drive and The Ides of March (coming soon).

Gosling is pretty much my favorite actor working these days. Drive is getting big-time great reviews all over the place. It may be time to wonder if it's the first action film w/ Oscar buzz in a long time...

Yeah hes quickly becoming one of those actors where if hes in it, I'm gonna see it. This looks great, might have to see it in theaters.

Crazy, Stupid, Love was actually really good. Blue Valentine was awesome.

Four stars in the Washington Post. I'm pretty psyched to see this.

Absolutely LOVED it. For the first 30 minutes of the movie, there might be 1-2 lines of dialogue per minute. All that you need to know about what's happening in the movie can be seen in the looks that the characters give each other.

The best way that I could describe it, is a less quirky, more indy, Tarantino film.

I'm figuring I may go to the movies this weekend perhaps. It's either this or sabermetrics mixed with feelings aka moneyball.

I haven't seen the movie, but to me the trailer looks like "The Transporter" with a less-manly guy playing Jason Statham's role.
