    Ooh, you beat me.

I didn't loathe Bradley the way many others did - that Confederations Cup run bought him a lot of leniency from me - but this was a move that needed to be done. Time to look forward. I wonder if our recent world ranking had anything to do with. We plummeted to #30.

Now if we can just do something about Gulati.

About time. He was an awful tactician the team overachieved in the CC, we're not going to play like Spain but we need to play more attractive football. He must have been a very good motivator. Scrat is dead on Gulati needs to be the next get sacked. Wonder who is next.

I want to be really excited, but I need to see who replaces him first. It's a damn shame they waited this long--I bet they could have gotten Marcelo Bielsa.

If it doesn't happen now it's never going to happen. Definitely time for a change, I would've made it after the WC but by doing it now we still have 3 years before the next World Cup. The team's seemed flat this season and it showed in the Gold Cup.

While were at it can we change the team's nickname as well? I hate that are nickname is USMNT, ugh so bland. Sam's Army, Stars and Stripes, anything else would be an improvement!

We'll see if the report it correct, I would imagine it is. Klinsmann to replace Bradley.

Ohhhhhhh, Klinsmann. I'm excited yet tentative at the same time. Hopefully Gulati gave him total control. Genuinely excited for USMNT's chances in WC 2014 now.

I hope so too. If Klinsmann totally had his way he would reshape American soccer from the ground up, completely changing the culture. Don't know if Gulati wants to go that route or not (or even if Klinsmann is still in for a total overhaul) but perhaps these two finally coming together is a signal that Gulati has truly opened his eyes.

Thanks Chris for posting the official link!

Too bad the Klinsmann hire didn't happen in '06...lost a lot of ability from this generation of players as a result. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do.

Really hope this doesn't turn into a Buck Showalter situation.

No posts on last night's friendly?

Overall I'm pretty pleased. We weren't great by any means, but I loved seeing the youth on the field. The team desperately needed some fresh blood. Also, no Bornstein.

I like Buddle (especially over Findley) but he was a total non factor. That could be his own fault, but we also had nobody to link up with him. Bradley just isn't that guy. If Holden or Dempsey were on the field, maybe Buddle would be more effective. Agudelo looked good, though. Same with Brek.

All in all, the team simply looked a lot looser under Klinsmann. Hopefully that lasts.

Can't wait to see the team with Holden, Dempsey, and Chandler all in the fold.
