I know a lot of folks around here aren't fans of friendlies, and for the most part I'm not either, but did anyone catch the Germany/Netherlands game from last week? Some really, really, really good soccer there. You can catch the replay on ESPN3. I think as soon as Xavi and Co. age another year or two and Die Mannschaft gets just a bit more experience, Germany will be the best team in the world. That is if they aren't already. Can't wait for Euro finals.

Agreed. Germany looks potent and has a great young core. It'll be interesting to see how Spain copes with the aging of Xavi and Iniesta in the midfield, because honestly, those two are the key to their entire team. Fabregas, Mata, and Silva and how they develop will be extremely important to Spain in the next few years.

Man City, United, and the chelsea are all in danger of not qualifying. The rent boys have to win, I think all Utd need is a draw, and it looks like City are all but eliminated. Man I would love it.

Almost had Arsenal...but a draw away against Arsenal isn't a bad consolation prize.

Surprised both Chelski and Liverpoo put out strong squads for the Carling Cup.

I think Liverpool only started with three of the same outfield players as they started with at City. I'll check into this though.

Lulz at Untied they got bounced at OT by Palace. City vs Liverpool is what all the TV's wanted. Would rather play them in two legs with the 2nd being at Anfield than a one off Championship game at Wembley.

Spurs lost a big game at home as well for Europa. Lots of upsets.
