Oh, no doubt... I didn't think you were knocking him. Just saying, he's not exactly great, but he's not exactly green, either. Sometimes in the NFL, it's almost more important to have some experience as a game manager than to have any actual skills at QB. Thing is, I'm not even sure Grossman will be the starter.
Side note: Garcia is a player I've never quite understood. I'm a diehard 49ers fan, and he was great out there after taking over what basically equates to being the shortstop in Baltimore. He didn't stick there, didn't stick in Philly, and didn't stick in Tampa, but was better than average at all three stops. Similar to Brad Johnson... not sure what was up with those guys off the field / behind the scenes, but they could sling the rock at a high level.

B Johnson should have never been benched in Washington. That decision led to the downfall of the organization for the past decade. It wasn't an indictment on him per de other than he didn't have the most marketable personality.

Rex saying the Skins will win the division is beyond funny. With him or Beck at QB it is impossible unless the other NFC East teams all implode. Its not like Shanahan has Elway . . . . . . . . . . . . .
It seems that Shanahan looked pretty clueless last season.
On "The Herd" Colin stated he thought the Skins would quite possibly be the worst team in the NFL this year. He predicted a 2-14 season.

There is too much parity in the NFL for anyone to speak with any serious authority in the offseason. In a situation where a coach is going into his 2nd year and has started putting players that fit his scheme into place, I wouldn't go betting against them. No matter if it's the Skins or not. The OLine looks to really fit well in this zone scheme so far, the running game looks amazing, and the defense has really looked good without a couple of it's starters still. Yes, it's preseason, but a lot of this damage has been done against the starters for PIT and IND, two super bowl contending teams...I'm not counting out the Redskins just yet.

Well if Colin Cowherd said it, it must be true. This is the same guy who said Derrick rose wouldn't amount to much in the NBA back in October. And also said that John wall won't be good because he didn't grow up with a father. Add up his NFL predictions for all of the teams, it doesn't add up to a .500 record. You can say anything bad that you want about the redskins, I just wouldn't use cowherd as your evidence

The Herd is entertaining. His opinions have no more weight than anyone posting here. I mentioned him because he predicted 2-14. Quite different than Rex's winning the division prediction.
It will be interesting to see if Shanahan is really a good coach or if his legacy is fading. He was viewed very favorably until the past several years.
