Yeah, they've really laid the groundwork for it. I mean, the main angle with Cena right now is basically that he gets booed a lot. I'm still not sure WWE has the stones to do it, though.

They might go with some sort of "temporary" heel turn, just to have a face/heel sentiment for Rock/Cena.

Still, like you guys say...if you're going to do it, go all-the-hell-out. Be Johnny Ace's go-to guy. Be completely pro-establishment and build another program with CM Punk. Do -something- to make this worthwhile.

(Also, on a completely different note: Dolph Ziggler is slowly, slowly toeing the line of Awesome Heel That Just HAS To Turn Face Eventually. I think he'll be there by just after Wrestlemania. The guy's just too good not to like.)

Dolph Ziggler is a very good talent, but in the name of all that is holy, they should let him compete under his real name (Nick Nemeth), as it is much cooler than Dolph Ziggler... truly among the worst names ever. Anyway, still hoping for a heel turn, but more importantly the WWE needs serious new talent to get pushed.

    I expected this response. LOL

Though I'll never feel otherwise about the DZ name, Nick Nemeth has a bright future... one of the few 'younger' guys who do.

As youngsters, no one could tell me that hunter Hearst Helmsley, Rocky Maivia, Randy Orton, Deacon Bastista (remember that), John Cena, Mean Mark Callus, etc, would ever be main eventers in the WWE.

Today, we have Dolph, Cody Rhodes, Punk, Daniel Bryan, maybe Ryder, and others who are young and could be the next crop to lead the WWE.

I beg to differ about those guys. Batista, even while with D-Von, was such a beast that you just knew he was going somewhere sooner or later. Orton was being groomed from the jump; it was just a matter of time. Rocky? Maybe. I was a little young, but I still remember seeing that he he had a lot going for him.

HHH was the only guy to really come out of nowhere there. That was many milligrams of testosterone ago.

Dolph is the future IMO. He's quickly become my second favorite to watch, behind CM Punk. He's got the look, the mic skills, and the in ring work to be a future STAR. I think he will be the perfect cocky face..the same way Rock was/is. The "I'm better than you and I'll prove it by making the crowd laugh hysterically" act.

Also love Cody Rhodes. Not quite as much, but I think it's very positive that they've got titles on him and Zack Ryder, with hopefully Dolph moving onto something bigger (Rumble winner, anyone?)

Latest update is that Orton is out for 6 months. That eliminates him from Mania.

I thin Barrett is either the champ heading into Mania, or else he wins the Rumble and challenges the Champ, either Bryan or Sheamus.

If the rumors of Jan 2, 12 are true and it is indeed Jericho, then that all but confirms Jericho vs Punk on the Raw side, so the Rumble winner will have to challenge the Smackdown Champ.

I'm going to the house show tonight at the Verizon Center with a couple buddies. Even though it's only a house show, I'm pretty excited. I haven't seen a live WWE(F) event since the mid 90s (main event was Bret vs. Owen!), so this should be pretty cool. I'm hoping I can get some decent pictures to post on here.

Have fun and fill us in man.

I just read the house show report from Detroit last night, and without giving any of your stuff away, I will say that Barrett and McEntyre interfered in the main event by attacking Big Show. I wonder if they are trying this out and we may actually see the storyline from the WWE 12 video game come to pass????

I think I saw him talking to Hornswaggle in the back once! lol

In all seriousness, this guy really f'd up. Vince was pushing him as THE next big thing. Not only did he ruin his marriage to Tiffany (wow!) but also blew his push. I hope he can get back on track, but not a good 2011 at all for Mac!

Well, with Lesnar's announcement that he has officially retired from MMA, I guess the speculation shall begin on when he returns to the WWE?

    Surprise entrant for the Rumble?
