Cena does what is best for the company.
Rock does what is best for him.
When you really think about it, was Cena ever even booked to win at any point?
Would The Rock have come back to job to Cena?
That's why I always said that Cena was going to have to cheat to win, so The Rock could save face.
Cena was never going to have a clean win.

Review of last night complete with rating:
1. Sheamus vs. Bryan: 0/10
I really can't give a rating to a match that more or less never happened. I understand wanting the big three matches to take up as much time as possible, but when you give more time to a Diva's match and a lame team match-up over your second highest title, that's just absurd. The only way it could have been worse was if Bryan had won. Talk about burying a guy, I know Bryan isn't Mr. Charisma and probably hasn't really sold as a champ, but he's a hell of a performer and deserves better than that. Than again, we should have seen it coming after seeing pretty much no build for the match at all.
2. Kane vs. Orton: 6/10
After thinking about it after the fact, it wasn't that bad of a match. That said, unless my eyes were deceiving me, the match was just too slow, plodding, and had too many botches and close botches. The Kane chokeslam off the top rope was impressive though, and Orton sold it well. I guess I shouldn't expect much out of Kane given his age and Orton given the rash of injuries he's had, but even still, I just walked away feeling very "meh."
3. Big Show vs. Rhodes: 7/10
For a clash of styles and age, this was actually a pretty good match. It felt really good to see Big Show finally have his moment at Mania, and to be honest I actually fist bumped when it happened. He's taken so much crap over the years, been such a company guy, but he finally had a moment, and Cody Rhodes gets to move on to better things. The only way the IC title should have been kept on him would be to hold one of the major titles at the same time, or break HTM's record. He should be moving on to one of the major title scenes soon.
4. Kelly Kelly & MM vs. Phoenix & Torres: 6/10
For a diva's match, this was actually not that bad since only 1/4 can really wrestle. I'm honestly surprised they had Kelly & Marie win, but given how low my expectations were, they exceeded it. Never thought I'd say that over the heavyweight title match.
5. Undertaker vs. HHH: 8.5/10
I was not in favor of the match going in, and even less so of HBK being involved. But, they made up for it by telling and selling a great story. I knew Taker would win, but when HBK hit Taker with sweet chin music and HHH hit the pedigree I started believing for a second I would be wrong. I still think HBK added little to the match, and I'm quite indifferent of him playing the tormented onlooker. But, the ending was great, the symbolism at the end was great, and if that is the last match (which it won't be) for those two, it was a great way to go. Honestly my biggest issue, and why I don't give it higher, was that I felt another match was better, and because I don't believe the cell really added anything. Taker was throwing HHH into it early on, but other than obstructing the camera angle, it didn't feel like it added as much as I thought it would.
6. Team JL vs. Team TL: 3/10
Terrible. Awful, worthless match. Other than the triple moonsault over the top rope by TL's guys, it added nothing, the outcome was so predictable, and I'm so sick of the Ryder/Eve crap. I may have to not watch much in the future with JL running everything.
7. Punk vs. Jericho: 9/10
This match stole the show in my book. They painted a fantastic picture in the ring, and the last couple of minutes of back and forth moves on the mat is what it is and should be all about. Jericho pulled out some moves reminiscent of his WCW days, which having watched him going back then I loved it. It was just a great match all the way around, and for me the best of the night.
8. Rock vs. Cena: 8/10
It was never going to live up to the hype, because very few ever do, but that's not to say it was a good match. Actually, it was really good. Both Rock and Cena pulled off some top rope moves that I did not think were in them, with Cena doing a nice leg drop. I did not think these two had a 30+ minute match in them, but as every minute added on I became more and more impressed. The ending had a nice twist with Cena mocking Rock only to be met with a rock bottom. I really think the brass was worried the fans would riot if Cena won, as evidence by the guy in the front row with the sign. Not worthy of the hype, but definitely a good match to catch a replay of.
All in all, I'd give the event around a 7. Too many missed moments, bad ideas, and early filler that lowers the overall value, especially for paying $50+ for. Had the heavyweight tile match actually been a match I would have gone higher, but I couldn't. It was my first wrestling pay per view ordered, but as far as ordering another one, right now I'm inclined to quote The Rock, "Never before, never again."

Worked through Raw but read the write up. Sounds great.
Lesnar came back, f5'd Cena to end the show. Should be awesome, whatever happens.

I thought Raw was better than Wrestlemania. Great Show last night. Lord Tensai looks like he will carry gold in the next 6 months. Like that Del Rio Came back. Lesnar got a huge pop and im glad they waited until Raw instead of Wrestlemania. Jerricho was great last night with the alcohol and busting a bottle over Punks head. All in All, a great Raw. I doubt that the Rock is serious about staying and getting the belt, but if he is, its better for the WWE. The Yes Yes Yes chants were amazing, and the No No No chants were even better. Daniel Bryan is over well right now, so I hope they use his well. Like the direction WWE is going right now, hope they can keep the storylines going.

So, for now, it appears Lesnar is back for one year.
Last night, WWE was supposed to make an announcement about WM29. They didn't.
HOWEVER, with LEsnar coming back last night and F5'ing Cena, does that mean that is the WM match?
Unless Taker is done, I find it hard to believe that Lesnar/Taker isn't happening at Mania next year.
Maybe Lesnar/Cena is a program they work for the next few months and they wrestle at SS?

Early rumors are holding to fan speculation and desire of three headline matches at next year's Mania:
Rock vs. Lesnar
Punk vs. Austin
Cena vs. Taker
Cena vs. Taker really does nothing for me, and I just can't see his style contrasting well with Taker to make a good match.

Nature Boy appears done with TNA. Should be back with the WWE soon.
About damn time. I don't want to see him wrestle ever again, but the man has a lot to offer on RAW. I think he comes back and feuds with Johnny L over the GM job.

WWE loses Jericho and Orton to suspensions in the same week. Its going to be really hard to push Orton with the two wellness violations and third one resulting in automatic termination.
06-01-2012 03:11 PM #792
Jericho's suspension was pure political BS. Hogan, Iron Shiek, Volkoff, Duggan, HBK, Hart, etc, all used to use the countries' flags as easy heat targets. But somehow Jericho gets suspended for it?
Someday, the world will realize that wrestling = acting. The same things that occur in TV shows are somehow looked down upon in wrestling. Its ridiculous.

And with Orton out, Cena and Punk will also be working Smackdown tapings. That sounds like a sure-fire way to run them both into the ground and completely screw the company.

Wow. The WWE had really hit a high spot heading into Mania and then with Brock returning the next night, and now.....rock bottom again. Vince is returning on Monday night, and that is always fun for a short while, but they better get some great angles going soon or their summer ratings are gonna tank!
Hell, look at our forum here. None of us even care enough to discuss wrestling at the moment. Sad state of affairs!
