Tom Crean chimes in via the Twitter:
Watching Maryland and Miami, I keep waiting for Al Pacino and Jamie Foxx to appear. Maryland's uni's are straight out of "ANY GIVEN SUNDAY"

I liked the uniforms when they unveiled them, but white on white was by far the worst combo imo. That said, I really like the helmets and how they match the shoulder pads. I'm liking them overall.

The entire uniform scheme is absolutely nauseating. Don't let your school pride get in the way of an undeniable fact.

LeBron tweeted that he doesn't like the uni's. Also, I just checked, he still has no rings.

I love them, but I agree that either the helmet or shoulder should be reversed to match the actual flag.

I love the unis and generating all this talk is great both for UA and for UMD. The state flag gloves were a pretty ingenious idea. I'm a fan of the out of the box uniform combinations, so it's great to see the roots of UA go up against the glow in the dark Oregon uniforms from Nike. The uniform combinations are certainly going to appease recruits looking for the "Nike of the East coast" school.

It was just done as an attention grabber, and it managed to be a part of the lead story on ESPN, so I guess they knew what they were doing. The more normal unis should be the ones you see for the rest of the season. This was just a "oh we are on national TV? Let's make them talk about us all season" kind of moment.

They were hilarious. Ugly as hell, but I loved them. People calling them dumb are completely missing the point. Of course UMD and UA know's they're garish. That's the point. When was the last time the Terps headlined on Sports Center?
As long as 17-18 year old's that are good at football like them that's all that matters.

I thought the jersey looked tough in person. I liked them a lot. It is not the main jersey they will wear, it was an attention grabber. And it did.
