The NFL is a show me what you can do sport, and when you've shown you CAN'T do it, you're out, you WILL get a chance somewhere though.

You can't compare college skill level because a) most don't play a real defense all season, b) there are systems that are FAR more successful than the individual players in it, and c) I saw Schaub a lot in college, he wasn't that impressive, I'm amazed he's done as well as he has in the pros.
Trust me I hope the Redskins sign Flynn and think he is their answer at QB after just two good games.

Supposedly, the pendulum in the Griffin situation has swung back to "go."

RGIII officially announces at his press conference that he's leaving Baylor for the NFL.

Do what it takes to get RG3 here, trade up, it will be worth it. Can't be afraid to trade up due to past failures.

Tannehill seems to be flying up draft boards. I think he'll be the guy for the Skins at #7 (or possible trade down).

Last question in a Kiper chat earlier:

Will (DC): What's your best guess as to how Washington will approach fixing the QB position?

Mel Kiper (1:56 PM): Peyton Manning is the big option. You keep hearing they make a push for him. Mike Shanahan can't afford to misfire on another QB. His evaluation of QBs has been shaky. They went out to get McNabb. He gave the job to Rex Grossman. They went with John Beck. That all didn't work. Do they go after Matt Flynn? They might not go after him. RGIII in the draft is someone they'd have to move up to get. AFter him, there's no one else to go get. Mike Shanahan needs to start winning some games.

Mel Kiper (1:57 PM): When you have three QBs in the division much better than yours, you're not going to win the division that way.

Mel Kiper (1:57 PM): They finally brought in a quantity of players via the draft last year. That's a step in the right direction. But they have to bring in a better QB. Shanahan has to do a better job of evaluating QBs than he has the last few years.

He is rumored to have a broken foot.

Broken feet heal. It would take some serious short-term thinking for a broken foot to drop him down a draft board.

I agree with this, but I think it's too big of a gamble to take him 6th overall.

What concerns me is that another team will go all Oakland and offer StL a ton for Griffin.

I think it would be a mistake to draft Tannehill in the first 15 picks.

I think that team will be the Skins, if Shanny decides RG3 is his guy. The Browns are the team the Skins have to worry about but I think Flynn ends up there.

Someone will do it, like Minnesota or Tenn last year.

The Skins have way to many holes to give up a huge return to move up and draft RG3.

I can't see Shanahan (or Snyder) counting on a QB out of the draft.

It will all depend on FA. They don't have as many holes as you think though. Their Oline has vastly improved and their defense is close to being set, save for a big CB. Plus, I don't think it will cost a ransom to move up to the 2nd or 3rd spot. We aren't talking a Luck package here.
