Oy. Awful lot of hype and hope going into this. Not saying he may not be worth it. (I've warmed to him a little more than before, but still prefer to stay away from his style of play.)

Sacrificing a no. 1 next year makes me awful nervous though, especially because we could end up with a top 10 pick again next year. I dunno...I enter draft time on edge.

It's so funny, because while there is definitely too much hype and he's still very much raw I don't want Cleveland to end up with him. So as far as I'm concerned I encourage the Skins to go balls out and do whatever it takes to get him.

Looks like Peyton is going to be available soon and it also looks like there are multiple high quality WRs in the free agent market.

Not sure I really want Manning, but putting out the $ for Manning and Garcon in FA and then using the first round pick on the corner from LSU would be a massive upgrade in talent at positions of need. Use the second round pick on the offensive line.

I'm in the same boat...big risk and how will he adjust after being institutionalized for 13 seasons with one team?

I don't think PM will end up in WAS but if they want him, I'd do what Peter King (I think it was him?) suggested... Go to Manning and tell him will reunite him with his 2010 receiving corps to come to WAS which already has a defense that could be good enough to compete for a SB.

I don't know that it will happen, but the Skins could hit the jackpot if they can sign Peyton, Jeff Saturday, (move montgomery to guard), and either Wayne or Garcon. They should draft the best player available at CB, WR, or OT with the 6th pick, and trade up to secure Tannehill in the late first round. Having Tannehill and his lack of college experience, let alone NFL experience, watching Manning should pay huge dividends in the future.

Saturday is going to retire, he's got offers for his next career that will blow any playing contract he gets out of the water. Tannehill is going to go earlier than late first, even if he shouldn't. The hype surrounding him "going as high as 6th" is going to lead SOME team to taking him way earlier than they should.

Front office, not coaching. Has had 2 "offers" already. Won't do the Colts, he's mad about how things have been handled with the GM being fired and now with Peyton.

You think he'd make more money in a FO than playing? Not long term, of course, but for next year.

Interesting... We need to get a young QB for Peyton to groom though with that second round pick.

Longer contract, job security. Not really about money by this point in his career and his productivity is just going to bottom out. Better to go out on your own terms than a team cutting you because you can't handle it anymore.
