One positive test away from a full year's suspension is enough for me to look to deal him if I can. If that won't do it, I would trade this year's entire draft for it, and I'd think hard about the next 3 first, but that means trading ZERO draft picks any other time.
I think I agree with this, but the Skins will have to make up for the lost picks in FA. We would need to sign a FA LT that is an improvement. I really think we will be forced to find a QB that is not being mentioned right now. With Shanahan admitting that this rebuilding job is going to take more time than he expected (today's WaPo) I don't know what to think at this point.

Who is a good sleeper QB? Would signing Kyle Orton as an FA be any better than Rexy, who is not so sexy? I highly doubt it. I think they need to look at some current backup QBs and look to make a trade.

In Shanny's system the most talented OL does not necessarily perform the best, so I wouldn't waste time thinking high end OL, I would let him focus on guys that fit his criteria. Willie Smith was an UFA and looks to be doing better than Williams looked (SSS). I would plan on using the 2nd rounder this year if we did that to pick up a T, right or left (play Jamaal in the other). If not, I'd plan on replacing Landry (if he's not franchised) or finding a star CB with the 2nd and 3rds.

I would actually go sign Matt Flynn over Orton, could be the next Schaub, shouldn't take a monster contract and draft Moore in the 4th if we miss out on Luck.

Flynn sounds like a good option... if McCarthy will trade him.

He's actually an UFA. I know they'll want to keep him, but he'll want a crack at a starting job.

So what did you think of his bowl performance the other night? I'm just curious cause I wasn't really impressed with the stat line in a game like that. Given it's just one game, and I only watched a couple minutes of it, but I was curious what you thought about it if you watched it.

I'd be pretty happy with that trade for Luck. I'm not all that impressed with Bradford, and I would not give up 3 first round picks for him. I'd do Trent Williams and a 2nd or something for Bradford, but not much more (especially when you consider his salary compared to current picks).

Washington's run defense was so bad that Baylor just pretty much ran all night and they didn't have to pass as much. I think they had over 400 yards rushing.

That was basically the case. Griffin had a really nice touchdown run where he broke several attempted tackles. If memory serves, Baylor had three 100-yard rushers, and one of those three ran for over 200 yards. Some college basketball games don't get as many combined points (123) as that game did (especially if one of the basketball teams is Wisconsin). A "competitive loss" by the 'Skins tomorrow will be just what the doctor ordered, and a great way to start 2012. Staying in the hunt is key.

I didn't watch much of it, but as Floater said, there was no reason for him to pass much. When he did, he was effective.

Thanks, I figured that was pretty much what happened, but I was still a little disappointed that he only had 1 passing TD with over 60 points scored. I saw his rushing TD it was pretty nice, but I was really concerned with seeing him throw the ball, not run it, so it didn't help me much.

Makes sense regarding RGIII. I think that the best case is that they'll get the number 4, worst case number 8.

Listening to talk about the KC/den game. I wonder where Orton lands next season and how that impacts the draft.
