    Radiohead's Best Album?

Vote and feel free to discuss. Personally, I think it's "OK Computer" but I also think "OK Computer" is the best record of the 1990s.

OK Computer. Best Radiohead album, best album ever.

I never could rank Kid A as high as many others did. It's probably their third or even 4th best album IMO.

Love OK Computer, but Kid A blows it out of the water.

    1. Kid A

    2. In Rainbows
    3. OK Computer
    4. Amnesiac

    5. The Bends
    6. Hail to the Thief

    7. King of Limbs

    8. Pablo Honey

I listen to a good deal of electronic music and much prefer their later, glitchier work. Although I love both The Bends and OK Computer, I turn to In Rainbows, Kid A, Amnesiac, and even Hail to the Thief more frequently. It's probably telling that my favorite song off OK Computer is Climbing Up the Walls. As great as Karma Police is, it's songs like Like Spinning Plates off Amnesiac that really slay me. The melodies take longer to stick, but the payoff is huge. Outside of Pablo Honey, however, they all range from very good to totally sublime.

In Rainbows was less about computer noises, though. It was probably their most straightforward rock album since The Bends.

I don't disagree, but it's less riff heavy than OK Computer and The Bends. There aren't any songs like "Airbag" or "Just". I'm not disparaging those songs - I love them - but I prefer the restraint of Radiohead's later work. Part of what makes In Rainbows so great is the balance of it. They couldn't have written "All I Need" or "Reckoner" without first doing Kid A and Amnesiac.

Really like The Bends. Don't really have a favorite. Definitely one of my favorite bands and I like all kinds of music. "The Tourist" and "Knives Out" are two songs that come to mind first. I've got a DVD from a French tv show with about eight songs with Thom and the guitarist on two acoustics. Amazing.

Really great version of Pyramid Song live. One of the reasons I like it so much is the time signature... the tempo... is like 13:8. Some [messed] up [crap] like that.

Reminds me of some snooty progressive band, like Yes... but I LIKE that!

What's so amazing about Radiohead is that they've progressed so much with each album, but at the same time, there are noticeable melodies from previous albums still show up in every new album they release. I was a little disappointed in King of Limbs, though. I'm disappointed that they've given up on releasing full albums, because they were one of the rare bands nowadays that put out albums that demanded to be heard from start to finish.
