He's been in Cincy his whole career and found a way to get them to their only 2 playoff appearances in 20+ years. I don't think people realize just how bad that franchise is. Easily, one of the worst run in pro sports. He's not a Pro Bowl QB anymore but he's much better than what you have now and probably will be able to find for the near future.

I'll grant you 2005, but not 2009 when he was mediocre and the offense was 22nd in points and 24th in yards while the defense was 6th and 4th respectively.
Other than 2005 and 2006, he hasn't been that good.A lot of people also expected that team to be much better in 2006 and 2007 based on their talent and previous success.

I am so glad the Skins didn't do this! The Raiders paid a very steep price. Why? They are crazy!
Supposedly, he is going "home" because he met his wife at USC and she has family there. I think the ESPN article said Palmer was on phone w/ Brown convincing him to trade him to Raiders.
He wasn't worth what they gave up. If the 'Skins implode, I'd like to see them pick up Landry Jones, if indeed he is in the '12 draft.
Raiders are a more complete team then the skins. It's not purgatory anymore. The raiders will most likely be in the playoffs this year but that was a heck of a price to pay I agree.
Hmm, I'm not sure if I'd be comfortable with stating most likely. They'll compete, for sure, but they'll have to either beat out San Diego (a whale's vagina) or take a wild card spot from all but one of nyj/new/buffalo, Balt/Pitt/cinci and hou/tenn.
Not saying they won't do it, but there is a lot of work left to do.
Maybe you guys can bring back MWeb's boy Jason Campbell.
