Charlie Davies is Suing a DC Night Club and Red Bull...

    http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/new...red-bull-crash

Davies is suing the night club and Red Bull says they are responsible for the fatal car crash he was involved in.

A bar or restaurant or establishment has a duty, once they believe someone is visibly intoxicated, to stop serving them," said Davies' attorney, Jon Pels, in a telephone interview Wednesday.
    Really?

Perhaps they do have that responsibility. This seems like an issue of judgment however; discrete categories for continuous circumstances.

And it's not a $20 million judgment call. Charlie shouldn't have gotten into the vehicle with the woman in the first place.

What a joke this guy is, who the heck sues a club and Red Bull for serving drinks. Learn how to control yourself , it is your own fault that you get so trashed and got in a bad accident. It was a unfortunate situation and definately sad that people lost their lives , but they had no reason to be behind the wheel of a car . I can afford a cab when I need one, this guy is a pro soccer player he could definately afford some sort of service to get home. If this guy wins this it will be a joke

Wow, this guy truly has no shame. I'm embarrassed for him.

I don't know how many of ya'll follow United, but I really hope D.C. doesn't extend his loan or sign him permanently. He's been largely irrelevant all year and especially so since the arrival of De Rosario. Yeah, he's got 11 goals, but half or more are from PKs and the others are the result of him being at the right place at the right time. Maybe 1 or 2 goals he actually had to work for. If he doesn't have the ball, he's a ghost on the pitch. Olsen seems reluctant to play him the last couple months, so that's a good sign.

That being said, D.C. needs help. A strong, distributing central midfielder who can connect the defense to DeRo, Pontius, and Najar, a shutdown central defender, and a good striker up top (Wolff, Brettschneider, Ngwenya, and Davies leave something to be desired). The return of Boskovic should help the midfield tremendously, but he offers a very similar skill-set to DeRo (assuming of course DeRo stays in D.C.)
