Well, BUF is a much better team that anyone thought they would be. Seeing them close up, they aren't a bad looking team.
Botch of a play dropping that ball while on the run, a couple more seconds in the pocket and that's a big completion. Can't wait for the line to get healthy.
Also, didn't know Beck could throw the ball as far as he did on that overthrow to Hankerson, and AA saved an interception for sure.
Oh that drive was painful to watch. Comedy of errors.
I saw earlier today they are saying the no. 1 pick is more valuable right now than it has been in 15 years. This might be the one year I'm in favor of trading our entire draft for it.
Well Andrew Luck did say he wanted to play near where is parents live in Morgantown, WV...
Twenty minutes to score 3 TDs. Good thing they have an explosive offense.
Who has a better offense right now? The colts or redskins.
We are just not good. I will say Beck has shown that he has an arm today. Two deep bombs, but nothing to show for them.
I can't believe that a line with Chad rhinehart is man-handling this defense.
This team is so JV. They get a first down with about 18 to 20 seconds until the 2 minute warning and can't get the next play off.
There's thurmon Thomas on the sideline. He still can't find his helmet.
It is amazing how much talent across the board this team is lacking. Having said that, the franchise QB must be found in the next draft.
So Beck doesn't look like an upgrade to Rex.
How is this a Beck versus Rex thing? I don't think Rex would have done anything differently, except maybe get sacked a couple more times because he's slower.
He is a mobile QB who got sacked NINE times. The offensive line was TERRIBLE.
Not saying he didn't make some bad plays himself, but he's no better than Rex, and that has been the whole point of our entire argument. I don't really like either of them, but I like Beck a hair more. Either way is still a loss.
Considering how anti-Rex some people on here were, including you, I think it's pretty fair to point out that so far Beck has not looked like an upgrade.
Concerning the sacks, quite a few of those were due to Beck holding the ball too long or wandering into the pressure rather than away from it. In other words, he didn't use his superior mobility well for much of the game.
Yep, neither are likely to be good QB's. I'm fine with giving Beck more of a chance as well. It probably doesn't matter much at this point.
Honestly I turned it off in the 3rd sometime, but of the first 5 sacks I saw the pocket just collapsed before the ball was in his hands, or the safety/cb blitzers were in the backfield before he could drop 3 steps. It was odd because I felt like they were running our same defense against us, looked like a lot of the same looks we throw at people, and our Oline was just a joke. I watched Locklear completely ignore an edge rusher and help inside. I watched Helu not even pretend to chip a guy on his way out once for another sack. It was just bad all the way around, I blame the oline because there was no running game either though.
I agree on the last point, as we pretty much knew from the beginning of the season it's all a throwaway anyway. Learn what you have from pieces you have for next year and move forward. QB isn't solved though.
I would trade every pick in this years draft and a first next year to get Luck though I think. I don't say that lightly being a big draft guy, but I think he's going to be
worth it.
