Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Game comes out on Friday, great timing for me as I'm off from work as well that day. This game has been talked about alot in the the other thread about games we are looking forward to, but I thought that now that the game was coming out it would be a good time to give this game it's own thread. My expectations for this game are pretty high and there isn't anything I've seen/read that has given me cause concern. Can't wait to start exploring!

I've never been as stoked for any kind of media as I am for Skyrim. I'm not even that much of a gamer. Hell, I hadn't even switched on my xbox since moving into my place the spring before last. But just the hint of a new Elder Scroll had me right back into Oblivion.
I used under leveling in Oblivion as well and finished the main quest at Lvl. 14 which robbed me of fighting the better leveled enemies and obtaining better gear. Definitely looking for some redemption in Skyrim
What kind of characters do you guys play?

Right now I'm just avoiding the game like the plague until winter break.

I've come to this thread about five times trying to come up with something better than "I AM SO EXCITED" but that's pretty much all I got. I can't wait to kill dragons.

As expected reviews for this game have been positive, I don't think I've seen one review below a 9/10 for this game. Pumped to finally be able to play this!

Sent back Arkham City and this shipped this morning. With any luck I'll be spending my late-nights slaying dragons for a couple weeks.

I can't decide between PS3 or PC. I know PC would be better, but then I can't play from my couch.
Though, I do imagine it will be on sale on Steam before it's cheap used.Last edited by Spoonless; 11-10-2011 at 12:50 PM.

If I buy it through Steam, how does that affect my ability to install mods? It's been a long time since I had an up-to-date PC.

I'll be picking this up at midnight. Afterwards, don't expect to see me on OH for about three weeks, except to occasionally say, "This game is awesome," or "Stop it, JTrea!"

Well, I'm about an hour into it and it's absolutely great so far. The graphics are stunning.
My orc is named "Randy Savage" and has a pretty kick ass beard, just for the record.

I'm probably a little less far into it than Austin... but when the game STARTS by having me run in terror from a dragon, I'm a fan. I stopped in Bleak Falls Barrow last night after clearing out the first room of bandits. Apparently, there was the possibility of running into a dragon outside of the entrance up there, but I (thankfully, as I'm level 2) missed him.
I'm a Khajiit named Aneris, and I like flamesparking things to death. And using kitty claws.
