You should definitely complete a few of the early missions. You unlock the Shout ability, which aids tremendously in battles.

I have 3 shouts now, and I don't think I've really ever used one in a fight. I find it more effective to give a shot or two of lightning/ice and then smash them with my mace. I've yet to find a really tough fight, and I've killed 4 dragons.

If you don't report to the Jarl of Whiterun about the dragon in Helgen, dragons will not start spawning. Kind of like the gates in Oblivion. I'm regretting doing so because about every other time I fast travel a dragon spawns when I get there.

Eh, I use the first shout quite a bit, if only because it kills a lot of enemies in one hit.

I guess I need to remember that. I have all three power levels for it, I just forget to use them. I'm all dual-wield destruction.

AHHHH that makes more sense. I have the force shout lvl 3, I have the Sprint shout lvl 1, I have the Ice shout lvl 1 and some shout I don't understand what it really does yet.

I haven't thought the shouts have been that effective. I've got the 2nd level of marked for death but it seems to only stun them for a second. I sneak attack with arrows, then use a sword or axe it right hand and flames in my left.

All Marked for Death should do is sap their armor and health. Most of them are pretty handy. I use Unrelenting Force all the time now that I have all three words. Fire breath is pretty solid at clearing a tight spot. Become ethereal is great for getting through a chamber full of traps.

Those are the ones I tend to use a lot.

Are you guys siding with the Imperials or Stormcloaks? I can't make up my mind. They're both kinda jerkoffs. Haha.

I haven't chosen yet either. I think I'm gonna go Imperial. The Stormcloaks seem racist to me and I'm a Dunmer. Plus I think Solitude is the coolest city so I'll defend it.

You have to finish the quest for the people in the temple. Go get the horn and bring it back to them, and they teach you the 3rd.

Completed a side quest where I had to investigate what happened to a family that was living in a light house. I had to take down a bunch of Chaurus (which I hate fighting) and a Chaurus Reaper (which is basically a giant Chaurus). During this quest I started using the ice spike along with frost which helped take these bugs down.
