    Tebow

He's been a huge topic on various ESPN shows for quite some time.

What do you guys think of him?

I think he's a huge D-bag, but I hope he succeeds because he's good television.

I don't believe he has the skill set to be a consistently good quarterback in the NFL.

A mediocre QB who will get more chances than he deserves because of his popularity.

I actually would have gambled a fifth round pick or so on the guy. He's got talent for sure. The problem is that he is expected to either be good, which isn't likely, or horrible, which is more likely, but I tend to fall into the camp that can't figure him out yet. He seems to succeed when he shouldn't. I don't think Denver wins more games this year with Carson Palmer at QB than Tim Tebow. Would I rather have Palmer? Yeah, I would. But why does Tebow get all this publicity, bad or good?

He's dreamy in fantasy football. I'm just concerned Elway will pull the plug before the season ends.

I'm not sure I'd call him a d-bag at all. Don't let the media's infatuation with him make you think he is a d-bag. He is a great kid who just wants to win and does what is asked of him. I don't see him partying, making an ass out of himself or complaining on the field. That is a d-bag.

But I'm not sure if he can last in the NFL with his accuracy, but I'll be pulling for him.

I'm pulling for him simply because of the fact that I'm a Gator fan. HOWEVER, the infatuation with him as unproven he is in the NFL is almost sickening. Especially down here near Gainesville. I love the guy, I really do. He's got a great head on his shoulders and I've met him in person more than once, and it's not just a media portrayal whatsoever.

I really hope he can make it in the NFL but from what I've seen so far. There's a long road ahead of him.

I don't get the infatuation with him or the "Tebow thing" but the kid works his tail off and is everything you'd want a player to have as far as work ethic goes.

He has none of the intangibles that will make him a great QB, but somehow he might be able to do it. They ran a very "option-esque" offense this past weekend against Oakland and it worked, but I don't know how long before other defenses prepare for that and nullify it.

These two are basically my thoughts.

He was a hell of a college quarterback, and deserved much of the praise he received. Unfortunately*, because of his stage and his very clean, openly Christian lifestyle, he was pushed into the ranks of the overrated, and that has continued into the NFL. People want him to do well SO badly that they are willing to overlook problems with his game that would bury other quarterbacks late in the draft or to the Crouch-Wuerffel ranks of great college quarterbacks with no pro potential.

*Unfortunately only in the sense of un-deserved attention. Clean living and Christianity are not negatives to one's character, at all.

What is so different in skill-set and college success between Tebow and, say, Troy Smith? Or Eric Crouch?

Like Smith, he can develop into a good NFL quarterback. Unlike Smith, he will be given more opportunities than he otherwise would deserve.

Make him a full back or a TE.

The guy is a flat out winner...i think in a sport like football, there is something to be said about that.

I would love to have a guy like that on my team...but I wouldn't want him at QB. I just don't see it and neither do any of the experts.

That being said, if I were the Broncos, I would be playing him right now and for the rest of the season. See if he can improve as you cater your offense to his strengths.

Loved watching him in college, grew weary of him during the draft process, and am now ultimately sick of hearing his name. I hold no ill will toward him, but I'm just so tired of the whole Tebow debate that only really exists because it's a battle between two larger, non-football ideologies.

I don't understand why you can't find SOMEWHERE on the field to put him, even if it's not always at QB. Have the trick play always in your back pocket. Maybe put McGahee in the QB position once or twice in the Power I, with Tebow as fullback...and have him motion out. The possibilities could be endless.
