What I find humorous, is that the Tebow-haters seem to talk about God even more than he does.

Still hate Tebow. Especially because he plays for the Donkeys.

    And because he's Tebow.

I just root for Tebow mostly because of how much people detract from and hate him. He's entertaining to watch, and I think his success is good for the NFL.

I'm kind of the same way. He's clearly not that great of a QB and the success they are having is mostly because of the defense and some timely play by Tebow and Prater. I mean after all, they wouldn't need all of these 4th Q comebacks and wins if Tebow and the offense hadn't been stinking it up for the rest of the game. That being said, I feel like Tebow is easy to root for. He works hard and always gives credit to the rest of his teammates. When you hear him talk, he really sounds like the genuine article. He doesn't really give cliched responses to questions which is a nice change of pace. You just get the idea that whatever comes out of his mouth is the real deal. And he seems like a great guy overall, regardless of his ability as an NFL player. That's a good thing to have in a league that has it's fair share of thugs.

This article was written before the Bears game, but I thought it was an awesome piece by the Wall Street Journal, link.

...and Teblowing is playing QB in an NFL game very poorly for the first 3 quarters. In college, it's known as the Stanzi Syndrome.

Don't you dare besmirch the greatness that is the Americanzi.

People keep talking about Tebow "haters", but are there really any left? I still think in the long run he'll be an average-to below average QB, but I'm enjoying the heck out of the story right now--and this is from a guy that hated him a few weeks ago. At this point I think that's where most people are at.

Does Tebow's run remind you of Dilfer's run in 2000?

Tebow haters think everyone else loves him. Tebow lovers think everyone else hates him. It's the same "us against the world" mentality that has developed through American society, both for better and for worse, from the very beginning.

Dilfer was never terrible. At least on such a consistent basis as Tebow.

He also wasn't bringing the Ravens back all of the time.

I would say Tebow is better than Dilfer was. Not a better passer, but because of his running abilities, more of an offensive weapon.

For what it's worth, Tebow's passer rating is 83.9, 14th among the 32 NFL QB's. His TD's per attempt and TD/Int rates are excellent, which is why he rates well even though he completes less than 50% and his yards per attempt are mediocre.

I was just pointing out the differences, not that one is a better player. And I agree that Tebow does a lot more than Dilfer. He also does a lot less, in other ways.

I can see similarities because they both rely so much on the defense and special teams (which may be what Peace was referring to more than their abilities as quarterbacks), and if the Broncos defense was still giving up 28 points a game instead of just over 20 (just under 17 PPG if you take away the Lions blowout) I doubt we would even be talking about this.
