I was on the Tebow wagon at first but then I grew really, really tired of the annoying Tebow supporters that were infatuated with him. I don't hate him, just all the attention and his annoying followers.

"put yourself out there and especially if you tell other people how they should live"...in other words, a role model?
Putting religion aside, Tebow is a levelheaded, respectful, young man...I don't see how promoting responsibility and good morals should make him "take a lot of flak".
That is not my definition of a role model.

I am not a big fan of the hype he gets or the religion that gets brought up every second he is on the air. You love JC, good for you bro.

I don't really care either way. He is a miserable passing QB, but he can get it done for a short amount of time with his feet, more power to him. He will be out of the starting role soon enough. Its just like the wildcat. That came and went. He doesn't have the passing ability that Cam has, so IMO, he won't last long.

And I am OK with that.

You see, I just don't get this line of thinking. In what way is he a D-Bag? He seems to be one of the nicest guys you'll find and one of the most humble. He's team first through and through. Professional sports could use a lot more guys like that.

I am not saying I think he is a great quarterback. All I am saying is that he is the kind of person that most parents hope their kids will turn out to be. I hear people say all the time that he is "in your face" about his success. That has nothing to do with Tim Tebow, that is the media. If you are referring to the fact that he prays during games, give me a break. Regardless of whether you are religious or not, who are you to judge his beliefs? He isn't asking the cameras to pan over in his direction every time he bows his head. I don't care whether he is a good passer or not, I like Tim Tebow because of the person that he is, not the football player. If you don't think he is a good football player, fine, but don't try to tear him down based on his character, because to be honest, it is a lot better than yours and mine.

    6-22 for 60 yards...1 INT, 1 fumble...20.6 QB rating.

That is one of the ugliest QB stat lines I have ever seen.

And yet John Elway and John Fox are persona non grata in Denver because they won't make a long-term commitment to Tebow as the starting QB.

I didn't see the game today, but man is that bad.

Do you guys think this is a situation of teams figuring out how to defense him and the gimmick offense?

I figured coaches would figure out a better way to defense him. And that's not to say he was exactly tearing things up before.

I think partly it is statistical evening out (he wasn't going to continue to turn the ball over as little as he was), and partly his playing better defenses with more tape to use in scheming against him. If that team is close late against Pittsburgh they are very dangerous, but unless all of the issues with Pittsburgh's offense snowball into complete ineffectiveness it will be more like the Patriots game where they took a big lead and barely let up. This is a Denver defense that allowed forty points to four different teams this year, including the Bills last week, and 32 in a win against the Vikings. As an example, only the Chargers broke thirty against the Ravens defense.

It's this. The Chiefs just stacked the box and made him throw.

I believe it was just Dilfer on SC who said that teams are just not allowing Tebow to get to the edge and that is making all the difference. So yeah, it's teams figuring out how to defense him which is what a lot of us were saying a month ago. He was a gimmick that had to be figured out. He simply can't beat you from the pocket.

It's not just Tebow that they've figured out, it's the entire offense. Crappy passer with crappy receivers. Orton couldn't get them to catch the ball either.

A healthy Thomas is a pretty good player. That have a great running game as well. Tebow is just abysmal passing the ball.

Here's to hoping he finds some magic next week against the Steelers though.
