I think if he's in the right offense, he may be able to be a solid QB. That won't be "solid" in the traditional sense, but he has so many more dimensions than most QBs. He'll never have a high completion percentage, and he'll make a lot of bad throws. But, he also makes a lot of big plays and can beat team with his legs. I'm interested to see what he turns into. If it doesn't work, fullback/H-back could be an interesting place to put him in an offense featuring some variations of the Wildcat.

I was in JAX during the Broncos/Dolphins game and everyone down there were cheering the Broncos like they were the home team. It was really a cool thing to experience. I just wonder what would have happened had the Jaguars drafted him...that would have been interesting.

Yep, a great fantasy QB because of the rushing yards. Not such a great real-life QB, but he's only started three games. And in those three games, his team has two come-from-behind wins.

Right against a terrible Oakland team that thought they could afford to give up two 1sts for a QB and a Miami team that decided to stop blitzing Tebow and let me get comfortable enough to throw in the pocket. I mean...I think the OH could get a team together and mount a come from behind win against some of these AFC West teams.

I think he's certainly an interesting player. If used in a very unconventional way, he may be decent due to his running abilities, but I'm not sure that he can throw it well enough and quick enough and intelligently enough to become a a top 10 or so QB. Chances are much better that he's a rather poor QB going forward.

Yeah, I don't think he's actually any good right now. And the Oakland comeback was mostly due to things like a TD on a punt return and Willis McGahee ripping off 60-yard TD runs. I just hope he can keep his job for the rest of the season, because he's racking up fantasy points for me.

The infatuation with Tebow stems from the fact that he's such a polarizing figure and that is a direct result of his outspoken Christian faith. There are people who love him because of this, people who can't stand him because of this, and people who just don't want to hear it. He was a phenomenal college player, but there have been many other phenomenal college players that do not reach this level of scrutiny because they don't develop such a following based on non-football personal beliefs. He brought it all on himself by being so open about everything so I only assume that he's prepared to deal with the extra attention. Personally I wish he'd just leave it at home.

As a football player, I don't think he'll ever reach a high level as a traditional QB. Maybe if they can get him a creative OC that can play to his strengths he can be above average, but if not, I still think he has a future as an H-back or a TE.

Yeah, this. Things like his Super Bowl commercial, etc., cause him to have more attention than most.

I would be interested in seeing a pro team commit to a college-style offense that plays to Tebow's strenths. It would be an interesting experiment. Tebow has no chance of success in a standard pro offense, IMO. But put him in an environment with a lot of plays where he has the option of running or throwing short or mid-range passes on the run, and you might have something. Most running QB's would last about 2 weeks before they were pancaked in a system like that, but Tebow is huge and might be able to pull it off.

NFL defenses, by and large, are too fast and athletic for a college-style offense to sustain itself at the professional level.

One huge problem is that if you install such an offense and Tebow gets hurt, will the backup be able to run it/hold up physically?
