I could seriously see this team going 10-56 this season.

I'm not a Wizards fan, but I'm curious--is this more painful to watch than the O's 2-16 start a few years back?

Funny thing is, I was going to originally post 6-60, but I thought "they can't be THAT bad!".

In my opinion, yes. It's one thing for a team to be bad. It's an entirely different animal when a bad team also plays the game the wrong way and doesn't seem to care about winning. I think selfish players show themselves much more in basketball than baseball. In baseball, you can be selfish, for the most part. Every time you bat, you're trying to do your thing, in the field, you're trying to do your thing. Not as big of a deal. In basketball, a team of selfish guys has 0% chance of succeeding.

The Wizards right now play a style of basketball that is exactly what all the uninformed people who dislike the NBA accuse the NBA of being. Mainly, little to no defense and an offense that is focused entirely on 1 on 1 play. Pass the ball around for 15 seconds, whoever happens to have it at that point, isolate and let them shoot.

I have to say, though, JaVale McGee is very improved this season. He's leading the NBA in blocks and averaging a double double. His offensive moves have significantly improved. I think the Wiz should look to extend him soon. I think he and John are your cornerstones of this team. I think Singleton and Booker are the other two guys that are long term pieces. Either of them could be starters, but I think they will at minimum be very valuable bench players.

Both the GM and the coach should be fired. Time to clean house.

John Wall had the game of his pro career. Put his team on his back but it still wasn't enough. Great to see Wall get going like we all think he could. He was getting to the basket at will, finishing! With a couple of jumpers too!

It just keeps getting worse for the Wizards. I believe this would be a 360 degree teabag dunk.

Tonight's game against OKC might get ugly. Let's hope they at least compete.

Yikes. Thats like Jack Cust falling combined with Miguel Cabrera hitting a Todd Williams intentional walk pitch into the OF for the win.

I'll be attending tonight's newest debacle as the Wizards take on Kevin Durant Russell Westbrook and the first-place Thunder. A loss by less than 20 would be a small miracle.

Is it just me, but don't the Wiz remind you of the Orioles? They are just never bad enough to be the worst, and when they get the top pick, there's not a Lebron or Durant waiting to be drafted.

Yeah, they're certainly like the Orioles. Plenty wrong with both franchises. One difference than benefits the Wiz is that they have a competent owner who SHOULD eventually turn things around. The issue with the Wizards is that they have a team of complete idiots right now. I mean, the only thing lower than these guys collective IQs is their collective basketball IQs. Just a selfish group of guys that have no clue how to play as a team and don't seem to care about anything but what their stats will look like in the box score.

I split a season package with two buddies. During a standard season (41 home games) I attend approximately 14 games. As you can imagine, my record is pretty dismal. Nevertheless, this is probably the second best "win" I've seen since I started going, the first being Gil's buzzer beater over a very good Jazz team a few years ago.
