Georgetown looks better than I thought they'd be

I've been a Georgetown season ticket holder for 6 years now, even though I have no connection to the school. I expected them to have a building year this year after losing their senior backcourt, but they have surprised me, beating Memphis and Alabama in the early going and losing a close game to Kansas. It could be an interesting year for them in the Big East.

I have really enjoyed the season the Hoyas have put together as well. I thought they would be middle of the pack at best this season. Henry Sims finally decided to show up and plays with a real tough attitude. Guess it’s better late than never..

That was a tough loss for the Hoyas, still sick about it. They played better than cuse for 45 minutes and took the loss. In final minutes of regulation and in OT, the refs were calling phantom calls in favor of the orange, calling nothing for Georgetown and Hollis couldn’t even get in the game at the end. Ok, semi rant over.

Wonder when the next time Hoyas and orange meet since cuse is going to the acc..

OK I was watching the game with my friends and for the life of us, I could not understand why the refs wouldn't let Georgetown put in that guy with 15 or so seconds left after their timeout (I assume this was their 3 point specialist).

Any insight as to why they wouldn't allow it?

Hollis is an absolute beast from 3 and Hoyas 2nd leading scorer. He’s shooting 48% from behind the ark.

I have no idea why they didn’t let him in the game. I thought he checked in the table on time and even if it was getting close they always let the players in. Refs need to call the game and stop trying to be part of the game. That goes in all sports.

My friend who no joke, wears cuse t-shirts at his job in stocks just texted me. “Home court advantage.” Indeed, can’t wait for a possible rematch at Big East tournament at the Garden.

Yeah, I mean technically the rule is you have to check-in at the table before the buzzer, but wow, I don't think I've ever seen the refs enforce that.
