Yes, there was a course on what music is good and what was considered bad. Personal preference goes out the window for that class.
I must admit, though, the folks on this site have listed some darn good music that I would have NEVER listened to before if I had not seen it here. Yes, I still love me some 70's and 80's mainstream rock, but I listen to a lot of indie music now that is really different and pretty good!
The video editing on this is a real tour-de-force given that it's roughly 20 years old.
