Just got into them in the past six months. Saw them live two nights at The Gorge in Washington state, and at Madison Square Garden on New Year's Eve. They are currently my #1 musical influence, especially as a guitarist.
I mean, damn.
Here's one of their compositional masterpieces:
Here's a new one complete with a little extra for New Year's:

Saw 'em. Hated 'em. They opened for Jethro Tull at Hershey , what they call the Star Pavillion now. One of the best concerts I've ever seen! Huge thunderstorm early on.![]()
Hatem. Some girl who I spent a year trying to get into her pants loved em. Never got into her pants. Hearing them just makes me mad.
Two classics, back-to-back, from New Year's...
I don't own a lot by Phish, but I have "A Picture of Nectar" and love it. I also had "Lawnboy" and was not a fan of that album. So yeah, some stuff I like, some I don't.
I loved 'em for a while and still like them. They arguably might have been my favorite band for a while in the early mid-90's. And A Picture of Nectar was definitely my favorite album for a while. Some of my collection disappeared along the way. Looking at my itunes list now, I still have Billy Breathes, Lawn Boy, and A Live One (two disc collection) and no song has been played more than twice in the last couple years. That's too bad because that means Junta and Rift are gone too.
I've been to Gamehenge. Half of me never left.
